Is this really that risky? Doesn't seem Darwin Award-esque to me...

It's kind of thrilling but you'd hear the train coming a long way off and there is way way more than enough room to just lean against the wall and let it go past, not like you'd have to even hug the wall or anything. I'm sure there are tunnels where this would be suicidal, don't think this is one of them.

The biggest risk is probably getting arrested for trespassing.

We all used to walk the tracks from south London to Kent down the Victoria line, pinning ourselves against the wall in the long pitch black tunnels when the trains were coming through, and the back draft of the trains would suck us off the walls.

Nicht das es wirklich wichtig wäre, aber ich dachte beim sehen daran, das ihr nicht wirklich was riskiert habt oder? Wenn ihr kurz nach einem durchfahrenden Zug gestartet seid, dann kommt nicht auf dem gleichen Gleis so schnell wieder einer. Das kürzeste was ich gesehen habe waren zwei Intercitys in einem 3-4 Minuten Abstand. Ein Hochdaumen für ne wie auch immer zu bezeichende Idee.

1.) wird im Neuenbergtunnel nicht 200 mph (= 320 kmh) sondern bloß 250 kmh gefahren, weil die Strecke Mannheim-Stuttgart nicht mehr her gibt.

2.) ist es total bematscht, mit dem Fahrrad durch den ICE-Tunnel zu gurken. Wer macht die Sauerei wieder weg, wenn ihr da in Einzelteilen rauskommt?
