Yet another song that touches my heart strings. You're very gifted. Since I've found your music videos, I've discovered we like the same kind of music and song. I bet you'd be good at doing Toots Thielemans' "Bluesette" too! Again, thanks.
Thanks Jim! Jazz ranks very high on my list of favorite music, along with "symphonic instrument" types of music, though I try to perform a variety of other types of music, as well, to entertain or humor my video's viewers. 8-)
I posted my comment not only beacause of the chorus ¡aaaahhhh!...but for your enormous talent, I play the guitar, love music and admire the great artists. In this case not only your top music but your video creativity. "Saludos y recibe mi admiración desde México"
Missed this one Scott, found it via the video response on our mutual friends channel. In a word excellent and one of my favourites. You may be interested to know that it features on the Album 'Brian Sharp plays mainly Hammond'. Brian was the chief UK demonstrator of Hammond organs quite a good few years ago. Try searching for him.
It's ok I googled 'heads up'. I think I know what you were "driving at" :) Thanks. If you ever get chance he's worth checking out. I got the album mentioned by searching eBay then someone at work converted vinyl to cd for me :)
Thanks Bob! I try to keep it interesting for those who are interested in what I do. It makes me quite happy to hear when people are enjoying my work. 8-)
Excellent production Scott! I love your guitar and piano solo's! I have no idea what your doing though. I don't even recognise the chords your playing! Lol. That's one of the reasons why I dig your music so much! Cheers! Ed.
Thanks Ed! I fell a little behind on my comment responses! Oh, the chords are just Major 9ths, minor 7ths, Major 7ths, minor 6ths, 9ths, minor 7 flat 5s (half-diminished) and stuff like that. 8-)
Why thanks Peter... you're always welcome to drop by and hang out with "The Bodine." Hey, thanks for "Favoriting" this video. I have a new video that will be posted ASAP. I've been working hard on it for days. 8-)
How'd I miss this comment, Pascal! Sorry friend! It's snowing here right now... Southern France sounds like the place to be for me right now! I'm glad your 25° is Celsius and not 25° Fahrenheit, like we use... then it would be cold, like it is here right now. Glad to hear from you my friend. Sorry for the lateness of my reply! 8-)
Hey DB, this was really great. Do you think I could request a song? A little Vivaldi would maybe? Something from The Four Seasons? (Maybe Autumn given the time of year?)
Hi Vic. Thanks! I'm finishing up on a new arrangement right now of another Ellington tune. Which one you may wonder... you'll have to wait and see! 8-)
Hi Felix! Yes, the two composers of the song were Brazilians and the original song's lyrics are in Portuguese. Hey, I have to check to see if you have new videos, but I've been working on a new song/video, so I'll probably have to make time tomorrow night! Well, I gotta go to sleep now... got to work tomorrow. Thanks for dropping by! 8-)
This video has such a great vibe to it for me. Kind of a 60's feel to it because of the tune (and maybe the cool psychodelic-ish solo footage ;-), yet very, very fresh. The arrangement is great and your solo is superb.
I was thinking about using some surf sounds on a video, but you beat me to it!:-) Great choon ... a total contrast to the dull weather here in the UK. BTW, watch out for that passive smoking from 00:28 onwards!
Hi Derek! I thought it would be a cool effect adding the fog. I actually recorded myself in the dark with the "Night Vision" setting, but I was green and the video was grainy. I changed the color to Sepia and added the fog to smooth out the image as well as change the feeling. 8-)
Cor, Diesel! another great production! Piano sound is so cool, and I really like that visual effect on the most excellent guitar solo.... Nice melodic vocal....
Thanks Sir Barry! I still have some bugs to work out with Final Cut, but I did get my feet a little more wet this time around. Some of the basic things I did with iMovie seem to be harder to achieve with Final Cut, but it's probably because of my lack of experience with it. I used a different Piano sound with this video. It wasn't the Grand Piano sound like I usually use. When I tried the Grand Piano it didn't seem right for the tune. 8-)
Hiya Diesel, a perfect song to lift the spirits'cos here in london its grey and raining ! I see you're getting the hang of Final Cut now. Got a few Marcos Valle albums here, a great songwiter
Nice sound on that thaar geetar of yours. All round nice arrangement and mix.
Another successful mission for DieselBodine productions !
Howdy Barry! Thought I'd check in with the Tube before heading off to work. It's great to see you stopped by for a visit. Ha! If I don't leave for work now, I'll be late. LOL! I'm always late anyway... glad ya' liked my arrangement! 8-)
Thanks Rhonda! I like these "Jobim-ish" tunes. I actually used my new Final Cut program finally to help make this video. The sync is off a hair, but it's up and running now, so I'll just let it be. 8-)
Hi Heidi! Thanks for dropping by... I made it as a response to your "Marry Me" video, but I've probably chickened out from posting it as a response to your "Marry Me" video. LOL & 8-)
LOL...i was going to suggest that you post it as a response to Heidi's vid, and then I read this comment! I think you should post it Scott! In fact, the wedding planner says you MUST!
