Yea i've lived in payson for about.. 7 years now? and every now and again i'll be driving around and i swear there will be this like.. amazing light in the sky, disapear and pop up like somewhere else within like 5 seconds its crazy. i've seen some pretty crazy stuff up here
Grew up in Strawberry- all kinds of wierd stuff up there. One night I saw an orange ball appear in the sky, shoot across, then vanish. That same night my sister was in Payson and said she saw an orange ball appear a little ways away from her car, it traveled along side her & her friends for 5 miles or so, then vanished. Just one of a million stories from there.
When I was a kid my gramps and I saw a classic UFO one dark night while sitting on his front porch in Payson. My story is registered with the National UFO Database. As an adult my hubby and I lived there for nine yrs., now in Show Low where another UFO went right over our rural house while we watched. Both of these towns are well known as "UFO hotspots"; I have read that the suspected reason has something to do with electromagnetic energy in the area. Who knows? Maybe "they" just like it!

I have lived here for almost a year...I dunno why they are so attracted to AZ...maybe the mountains and desert dunno..wish they would land and hang out. :)
@Defcon2012 Dude I lived in Payson for 15 years-currently in MT-Payson is the most beutiful town I've ever been in-and I travel accross the country frequently...its not even the town though-its the surroundings and endless adventure! Here-in East MT-theres mountains for hundreds of miles-nothing but flat flat flat-I'm movin back to Payson!
@fitchrensch Absolutely-I've built a few of the houses in the area close to the east gate-but isnt chaparral expensive as far as annual fees and the homeowners policy is quite harsh for various hobbiests...I'm trying to find some land that is most affordable thats near the whispering pines/pine/strawberry area etc...
I know that one sound is the camera focusing as the object moves in and out. It was focusing Itself cause the object was moving. Thats all I can think...Cause I have checked out other videos I have taken like at my sons basketball games..and just the norm stuff and I have never heard that on any audio on this thing...Wierd huh? I have many shots of it..thats just one that stuck out.Plus on my page I have one with my whole family seeing it..Kinda funny go check it out.

Ahhhh,no...it's not a star. I'm a witness to this video,and the camera was stable. I saw this myself with my own two eyes,as the video was being made, not to mention, I saw this thing moving around in the sky,and changing colors. I don't know what star(s) that can do that.... I was a very hard skeptic before I saw this. It's not a star,and it's definately not a weather balloon.
i say what a shame because you can't proove us it is moving because the cam is not stable. However, it's still strange because you said it was there for almost 3 hours, so what we have could be a star, but i'm only analysing what you gave us to see... Did you look for other people who did see that?

your story is intriguing me : can you tell me, perhaps, more about the context, for instance do you think this object was only hovering without any purpose, or was it in a special location, and how many time?
You know when planets are visible from Earth, they flicker in color like that.
