  • how much has the uni mog set you back so far? i love it.. keep up the great work.. are you thinking on putting on some LED's and perhaps a sound module.. ?

  • In time or cash? :-) Yes, the Mog will become some head and tail lights when time permits. Cheers for your positive comment.

  • both.. time and cash!

  • Time so far spent: about 400 hours

Cash spent so far: about 800 Euros (cab was most expensive part... in the year 2k about 200 Euros, today it costs about the double...)

  • don't give up.. it's excellent.. hope to see more vid's of it when it's finished!

  • Cheers mate. I share your hopes :-)

  • I like it! your off to a good start. how do you like the portals?

  • Cheers. I do like the portals because I made them myself :-) jokin aside, they come in really handy when running through real scale landscape due to the higher ground clearance. Hard to get stuck.

  • why do you have a rock on the back of it?

  • Due to missing skip, there's some weight missing, leading in a lack of traction on the rear axle. The rock compensates for it.

  • no srry but check online hobby stores if posible see if rock crawer tires

  • You won't believe it but I was checking for a long time to get some tires with scale-like dimensions that fit portal axles.

  • u should get better tires

  • Got some?

  • very pretty unimog truck..

    what motor size..

    how much weight

  • Thanks. The model weights currently 15kg (33lbs) and when finished with all auxiliary equipment up to 20kg (44lbs).

Motor comes from industrial supplier Faulhaber company: Coreless DC Motor, type 3863, stall torque up to 1,2Nm.

  • this chassic bottom is a F-350 / Hulix..

  • If you're talking about my Mog, the answer is NO. This thing is in scale 1/8. Hilus stuff wouldn't work. The whole Mog is completely self built apart from tires and cab. Check out my website for details.

  • absolute beaut! how'bout building tatra 815 8x8? :o)))

  • Thanks.

Yes, a Tatra would by a nice project too - particularly the drive train is quite rather unique. Regards

  • hi where us your website?

how do u self make them?

  • Hi there

My web site is stated at the end of the video.

My Mog is self built, using mainly my two hands, a lathe and a milling machine. On my web site, you'll find the different stages of the construction. Regards

  • I want one of these sooooo bad and this video make me want one more... how could i make one... do you have plans and what you used?

  • Glad that you like Mogs :-) I've made sketches by hand from the prototype and later on designed all the parts needed on paper with the aid of a pencil.

However, there's some CAD-drawings from a colleague of mine for a complete drive train for a model Mog in 1/8 scale (see my web page). You need at least lathe and milling machine and some spare time to build one for yourself. Kind regards

  • completely amazing work, nice model looks good, thanks for vid

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • That was awesome!!! Wonderful job!

  • Thanks a lot. This winter, it'll receive some more detailling and if lucky - a lick of paint ;-)

  • Thanks for the nice comment Joris. Regards, makau

  • Hello
