@TheCollimator Of course it depends on how the area looks, very open area with few strong enemies BFG is the best and strongest,, very close quarters shotgun or chain gun and chain gun is good everywhere if thats the one rotating with 8-9 barrels.

Plasma rifle is good because it shoots so fast so good when there loads of enemies.

Rockets useful in open areas too

Thats pretty much it and always keep in stock the good weapons to boss-fights thats what i always do in these shootergames.

This boss battle is disappointing. You don't really fight the Cyberdemon, you only fight the imps and maggots around. Once the SoulCube is fully charged, you just release it and it kills the Cyberdemon after a number of times (depending on the difficulty level).

Now, wouldn't it have been better if:

1. the Cube only made the Cyberdemon vulnerable for a few seconds, leaving him open for an attack?

2. you had to aim the Cube?

3. there were more dangerous and challenging monsters around?
