@modewr Hehehehe, because I put it over top of that silly music video. I figured if I was going to upload endings that have already been uploaded and hundred times over, i'd better do something different. So here it is.... shameless because a 1000 others have uploaded these endings, along with that silly video all in one. Sooooo shamless. ;)
DancerintheHeart, wait were you saying the Animalities were removed from the 16 bit versions? That I can't speak to, since I really didn't play the home console versions of MK3/UMK3 much. I basically stuck to the PC versions and the arcade (I also own the saturn UMK3).
Nope. Sorry. Kano's ending pic is different in the Sega CD. Not sure about the rest for sure, other than the horrible horrible horrible loading times the Sega CD version is superior.
At least it's true to the arcade with the pictures, unlike the SNES version which just uses the text scrolling over a screen of them doing their winning pose.
Point taken. As a SNES freak, the picture endings will forever remain a MK2 thing to me. And of course MK3,but MK2 'invented' it for me. On sidenote,do you think the endings allow the Sega CD version to equal SNES or are you just trying to find something positive to say about Sega CD?
As with any arcade game, I always look to the arcade version as the "authentic" version (but I understand why people prefer say, the NES version of Contra to the original arcade game, or Soul Calibur, Gauntlet Legends or MK Gold on the home consoles over the arcade).
The picture endings were something new, not just text over a character posing (which is why I also hate the repetitive UMK3/MKT endings which unlike MK3, didn't use original artwork).
I see UMK3 as a very shameful game. At least the SNES version.I suppose Genesis would be worse, don't know about the 32 bit versions. Since they scrapped the animalities!! What kind of upgrading is that? Such a fraud. MKT would have been awesome if they did not modify characters and moves,so it was kind of a disappointment too.
UMK3 scrapped the animalities? No it didn't (they were dumb anyway, but they're still there). The only things removed from (MK3 to UMK3) were the character bio artwork screens/ending screens for the original 14 characters (replaced by genetic text and their vs. screen graphic), the opening graphic plates and "black kano" Noob Saibot (replaced with black ninja NS). And 3 UKK instead of 1 (with robot smoke as a regular character).
Hahahaha. By no means does Sega CD MK equal the SNES version, it's simply a slow-loading version of the Genesis version. I only used it because I felt the endings were of a slightly higher quality.

I loved how Scorpion was "destroyed" by Sub Zero and Sub Zero's goal in the tournament was the "destruction" of Shang Tsung in the SNES version.
GGalemb 3 years ago
GG... subzero didn't killed scorpion in mk1 he killed him before that as seen in subzero mythologies
wiibox3 2 years ago
I know, I was refering to how they had to replace the words "killed" and "assassination" in the SNES game to meet Nintendo's policies of the time.

Well,I'm sure they were removed from the SNES version, and since Genesis is even less powerful,I'd be surprised if they are there.
