All of you idiots that are against death with dignity should watch the movie, Soylent Green where Edward G. Robinson goes into a legal suicide parlor to cut his suffering short. I don't know what happens in conservative brains but fight against it. Try to be human and humane.
It seems to me that the people of the States of Oregon and Washington are the hope and future of the USA and are far more advanced, educated, intelligent and compassionate than the rest of the USA.
Is it because theso two states are in the vincinity of Canada and far, far away from the pentacostal Southern States ?
I am proud to be a member of the Final Exit Network, and of course, I am proud to be a supporter of the right-to-die movement, and this very important right that we, in all right-to-die organizations, must fight to get legalized in all states. I absolutely love this video and I am thankful for the work being done on behalf of those in need of support from the right-to-die movement.
I think this is sad for those who are suffering from a terminal illness. Law-makers, Doctors, and our government are now making the ruling in these cases! I think it is sad! I am a Christian and I could never take a death by dignity pill, to me it is no different than the abortion issue. Death in any fashion of Killing a baby or one's self, would NEVER be an option for me.
@JudyluvsSteven Nobody would force you into this decision. If you do not believe in assisted suicide, then simply do not take that option. If you do not believe in killing innocent babies, you should be out the streets protesting against our continuous wars, and not abandon children ANYWHERE, once they emerge from the womb.
I think this is sad, I feel for those affected by terminal illness. It is sad because Doctors, lawmakers, and the government are making this death by dignity pill "glorified" but I know that suicide in any manner goes against what I believe is right. I am a Christian and I could never take my life, no matter what my fate, I would have to accept death, as it comes. I am a believer in life, so abortion, and death by pill are not an option!
@JudyluvsSteven Fine. I have no problem with your beliefs. Only, my beliefs are different and would support your choice, as long as you do force your choice on me.
Wait till you see the other consequences of this law, when you start having insurance companies willing to pay for your assisted suicide but refuse to pay for your medical treatment because its not economically viable. You talk about choices but who will be making them - you or the big corporations? Just look at the world around you before you answer...
Thank you Oregon for leading the way; we now have it on our ballot this year in Washington State and I am hoping it will pass into law!
I was raised on a farm and taught it was wrong to allow any animal to suffer, when there was no hope, and yet, we dont show that same compassion for our fellow human beings. I am so thankful that this year I will have the opportunity to vote on this, here in my state!
Again, Thank you Oregon; our wonderful, compassionate sister state!
why not try large doses of recreational drugs beforehand like lsd or mdma? you might aswell!?

if you dont want to get a assisted suicide, DONT GET ONE! Dont try to force that on other people that need it.
