I was an AW in the Navy from 1989 to 1995 and stationed at NAS Cecil Field. I miss the Hoover. Sad to see them retire her, but I did see an S3 being used as a fire bomber out west. Swiss army knife of the fleet. Last of the true scout planes.

@DevanC105 Hey there. My names Rodney. Where didchya see the S-3A Viking do a barrel role at? When I was in the Navy I was in the VS-33 Screwbirds aircraft squadren working on these airplanes as a jet engine mechanic. We were on the USS NIMITZ aircraft carrier out in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm/Shield during an all squadren aircraft airshow one day & one of our S-3A's in the sqaudren did a fly-by past the carrier while doing a barrel role! It was awsome!
