  • RIP Kojack...You're a hero.

  • @cronicep For you American evreybody is a hero. Even the guy who blew the fart and say "sorry" is called hero, you are pathetic nation.

  • @TimiMcV fuck you asshole. Poland is shit compared to America...

  • At least we don't have so many niggros and mexicanos here and such a plastic reality like you guys have - you talking about the freedom and you don't know shit about that. You "free" people" are not allowed to keep open bottle of beer in the car, you are not allowed to call black man - "black" and your president looks a bit dark. Russian propaganda was nothing if we copare it with the american bullshit. No offence, personnaly I think you are not danger band of blind puppets.

  • @TimiMcV Sure buddy, Make Poland look awesome. Last time I checked they were sending boat loads of Americans to live in the "great" Poland. I'm sure Poland is awesome, But get off America's dick and go bother someone else. I'm too fucking cool to be caught dead talking to some Polish liberalist. Have a great day dupek. America>Poland. Nuff said.

  • @TimiMcV You ever lived here? Didn't think so. Shut the fuck up.

  • @TimiMcV fuck off

  • One of the hardest things to look at. Only 5 angels breaking to land.

  • i was at that i was like2 i cryed go blue angles

  • how could people be so stupid beleiving the garbage that is spitted by rush linbaugh and sean hannity whoever approves their shit should check their head gente pendeja

  • @guillermo6490 OK...and your take has what to do with this video?

  • Hey @mozart553 just making a correction the Lcdr Kevin "kojak" Daviswas the #7 angel!

  • jet crashes, and they announce, go see a recruiter.... now that millitary intelligence. Go sign up, we just lost a body!

  • @xtrmskr1025 and @ panik808: While the members are active military, they're not doing shit to protect us in the two years they're flying around overhead. Flying over fields across the country = defending our borders? Nope. Are they gaining intell on our country's enemies? No. They're wasting precious fuel and government funds to do what? Show how great our naval air squadron is? The whole idea of the Angels was to get the public interested so the Navy could get a bigger budget. Politics.

  • @Mattheyou28 They are recruiting. Just ask them.

  • @Mattheyou28 When was the last time a Marine called you an ignorant jerk?

  • @Mattheyou28 YOu are a complete idiot, The pliots of the Blue Angels are active military personel so they are out there protecting the US. ONce selected the serve for 2 yrs then return to active duty. As for you comment on taxpayers money the are millions of Americans the enjoy what they do and have no problem with the money spent.

  • @Mattheyou28 You Really need to watch what you say when referring any military aviators. I agree with panik808 about your under educated opinion. Every one of those pilots are American heroes who are CURRENTLY serving out country and protecting our borders so we have the freedom to even sit here and comment on this video. Get your ducks in a row before running your mouth. You sound like you obviously have no clue what its like to serve your country and sign that dotted line.

  • @xtrmskr1025 Correct Kevin served as did many of the pilots.

  • @Mattheyou28 polliticians. Anyone that thinks a millitary does anything more than look out for it's own best interests is a fucking fool.

  • @Mattheyou28 no..WELFARE that's the biggest waste of taxpayer money

  • @nascarwinner1 Thats just how they land at the end of their shows. Its called a carrier break.

  • This is so sad!

  • sry ;(

  • We just recently saw the show and was amazed by the wonderful performance. Had me thinking about this horrible tragedy.. It would not offend me to see these professionals wearing their g-suits.. I was curious though as to why the plane cannot be at least eqquipped with a safty device that returns the plane to level flight should the pilot "let go" of the stick in the case of a black out.. yes it is dangerous, but blacking out and dying seems unnecessary

  • "he craashed" acting like its no big deal

  • At least he didn't feel anything (except the G's)

  • They finish the show casually as to not further upset the audience.

  • April 21, 2007 The day a blue angel flew to heaven on his golden wings.

Rest in Peace Lt. Cmdr. Kevin "KOJACK" Davis

  • poor guy.

  • Guy: He Just Crashed Other Guy: No Guy: He Crashed Other Guy: NO Guy: Yeah, I saw it going down

  • I remember watching that stunt shown at the end of this vid.. with all six of the Blue Angels :c R.I.P Mr. Pilot.

  • You can now hear the man's voice was recorded before the show, not expecting a Blue Angel would crash :-/

R.I.P. Mate, you really didn't deserve it :'(

  • I got to see them the day before while my family was stationed there. It was a sad day for the Navy and Marine Corps pilot community.

  • Lol the white stripes

  • Rest in peace hero!!!!

  • ..and his mates apparently did not either!!!

  • The damn speaker didn't notice it at all!!!

  • i was there.it was a sad day in beaufort sc that day

  • DId he die though?

  • @05koda Don't be an asshole, yes he fucking died.

  • R.I.P. Nobody said it was completely safe so R.I.P.

  • Rest in peace brother. Shame on the Navy really...a simple g-suit would have saved his life.

  • They just continue with the show? like no big deal?

  • Back to a better place you go six... May you rest... In quiet slumber...

  • dude had you been on that airshow? what really happened if you can share more, there is no video anywhere showing an actual impact, just him going down and big smoke... thanks in advance

  • Tragic!!!! Much respect to the fallen hero and all of the rest of the team!!!

  • I believe he turned too hard, pulled excesive Gs, blacked out and went down. I don't think he had time to bank away from houses or say "Oh Shit", or anything. Blue Angel pilots don't wear G suits when they perform. This is their control column or "stick" is configured differently than a standard F-18. They have to physically use a wider range of motion on their sticks while flying and an inflated G suit would hinder this. Standard F-18 sticks are too sensitive for formation flying.

  • @nev594 No, you schmuck, learn what you're talking about before you start. First, standard F-18's fly in formation on a regular basis, just maybe not as close as the Blue Angels.. Second, there is no difference in the controls of the Blue Angles F-18's than those flown by other naval aviators. The reason the Blue Angels do not wear G-suits is because when flying in the tight formations they do, sometimes with clearances as small as 18 inches, the inflation of the g-suit could cause problems.

  • @jimbk17 actually you are wrong...... The controls are slightly different on a blue angels f-18. The stick has a weight attached to it so there's more tension and less slack and slop. It has something to do with the feel of the stick and how close they fly to one another. And I know this because I had a chance to talk to the number 6 solo pilot back in 2000 during an airshow here in Milwaukee.

  • @TN2708

But still, what he could have done is bank the plane away from the houses and then eject to make sure it crashes somewhere other than the houses. And even if he had control over the plane to turn away from houses, he could have pulled up out of te crash, right? But u could be right, and if so what a great guy!

  • @AchtCore

You suck. Why would you even say that when it isn't true? Americans have always ruled the sky since the beginning of flight. We have airplanes years ahead of other countries' jets. And all of those counties buy the planes we make, so suck it. I am American and I don't know about you but I do not appreciate comments like that. I am not sure about this fact, but I am pretty sure the country of the United States of America has never lost a major war in it's history. Just because a tragic

  • @brehnden Ever heard of Vietnam? think you may have lost that one. You were also heavily involved in Korea. Iraq didn't exactly go to plan nor has Afghanistan. Still maybe you might get lucky in Lybya?

  • These pilots r trained to sustain G forces up to even 10 G's. No maneuvers that tight r used in air shows. This must be a mechanical error. But still he was at an angle where he could have ejected if it was locked....weird.....

  • @brehnden he stayed in to keep the plane away from houses. he decided to give his life to save a dozen others. very heroic. R.I.P

  • @brehnden The pilot blacked out due to the excessive g's pulled in the turn back to rejoing the formation. This was one of his first performances in front of an audience. He was unable to eject or anything else because he was not concious.

  • @jimbk17 This was NOT his first performance in front of an audience. According to the investigation they believe Kevin was awake, but disorientated from the high G turn. There was evidence that he was trying to correct his path before it crashed. This gentelman took celebrities for rides in the F18 and earned the Air Medal, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and various personal and unit awards, attended TOPGUN, accumulated 2500 hours jet air time along with 200+ carrier landings.

  • I was at that one and the 2011 one yesterday

  • what are the song at 0:21?

  • Imagen being one of the other planes and looking down and seeing your fellow pilot's plane in flames on the ground, I would not be able to to continue the show like nothing happened

  • @umpalumpa101909 They didn't continue the show like nothing happened, they executed the last manuever of their show, the carrier break which is used to decrease speed and setup for landing. These are highly trained military pilots. Unfortunately, the risk of seeing one of comrades go down always exists, but when that happens, you must adhere either adhere to the three rules of flight or become a stistic yourself (1. aviate 2. navigate 3. communicate) You stop flying and you crash too.

  • @jimbk17 yeah, i'm just saying that if i was a pilot and just saw someone crash i would find it very difficult to continue, (Probably, obviously it has never happend to me so i would never know)

  • Do they not wear G suites? Every time you see vids or are at a show they walk to the planes in basic flight suites.

  • @tmdffn it had nothing to do with the suits the hydraulics was the was the reason it crashed

  • @tmdffn they do its called G-Loc i havent read into how he crashed but i am thinking thats how it happend before he went down he did a high G turn i am suspecting he blacked out there

  • Can someone tell me if they completed the show as if nothing happened. I am currious. The other 6 would not have know whether the pilot was alive or not.

  • @mrbrightbill Cmon people, read the description.

  • @mrbrightbill ... they finished the show.. but one was constantly circuling the crash sight i was there by the runway with my family when it happened.. Jason Cage did not survive the crash.. RIP.

  • @mrbrightbill its interesting at the end how they look at the six in formation and then they all turn at the same time to the crash site ... RIP

  • @mrbrightbill 'HHMM.. I WONDER IF HE IS ALIVE!? THERE IS ONLY A HUGE ASS FIREBALL IN A ONE MILE CRATER DOWN THERE! HE MUST STILL BE ALIVE!!!" dude.. are you always that stupid? or are you trying today..?

  • @NIGHTEHAWK He just figured that Kojack could have ejected the canopy before the crash :)

  • The greatest job in the world performed by men with more guts than the spineless idiots who say otherwise. RIP to the pilot who died doing something he must have enjoyed.

  • @stujb Ltn. Cmdr. Kevin Davis. RIP

  • so much emotion in the commentary..

  • These brave men deserve medals cause i for one couldnt go through or do what they can. Being so close as part of a team and then to see a fellow team member crash to the ground, must be a terrible sight to witness and hear over the radio

    May you RIP <3

  • R.I.P

  • Tragic! kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • at :13 maybe that's not the best time to go on a spiel about joining the military....

  • I also hope to one day be an onerary pilot like one of these guys. Flying jets has also been my dream. I am 11 years old the day I post this comment. May the pilot and his peers rest in gods hands. These guys are the best of the best so show them some respect for serving our country! Rest in Peace. <3

  • I'm 13 but i hope to be an outstanding pilot like the blue angels when i grow up. Flying jets has always been my dream

  • That was a downer. Those guys are the best of the best

  • @mjpitche U know what, the best of the best are French, english and Germans... not Americans...

  • @AchtKore You soo forgot the Russians

  • did the flight commander to a flyby with a pull up (signifying a loss, not sure what you call it) on purpose or was it part of the stunt? RIP Kojak, you own the sky now.

  • Jexyyy can go screw himself.

  • Comment removed

  • "he crashed" nope yeah

  • the govt. will shut down the blue angels. they are ok, i'm ex navy.

  • i remember this, disoreted. he did not know the situation.

  • did you show the crash in the video? i just found out about this and am pretty shocked. my heart goes out to the family of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis and the Blue Angels. i have a brother in the Navy flyin' ea-18g growlers and i pray for his safety every day. rest in peace Kojak.

  • @bunnybaaby At low Altitude, High speed, ejection may not have been an option

  • why didn't he eject

  • @bunnybaaaby he blacked out at 7 g's

  • @bunnybaaaby he blacked out after experiencing 7 "g's" or the equivalent to 7 times his body weight, and he was in a turn, his plane slammed into the ground and he probably hadnt awoken from his blackout.

My heart goes out to the family of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis, teach the angels how they should really fly.

  • @steveo451 word man. word.

  • "A G-Suit would have saved his life"

Its easier to spend the 20 seconds it takes to look up information on their website about the G-suits, than to spend 3 hours arguing to defend a comment that is offensive to not only the family of Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis, but other fellow blue angels as well. You don't have to be a genius to search for the information, but you definitely would have to be a dumb-ass to make such an ambiguous ignorant statement.

  • Why they dont use G Suits

"The Blue Angels have a spring tensioned pressure installed on the control stick that gives the pilot a false feel. This allows the pilot minimal room for uncommanded movement. The pilots rest their right arms on their thighs for support and stability while flying. Therefore, inflating and deflating air bladders in a G-suit would interrupt this support and stability, causing uncommanded aircraft movement. In this case, G-suits would detrimentally impact flight safety"

  • Yay off topic here but let me mention one thing.

    •I have flown a YF-23 for NASA.

•the amount of Gs I experienced (up to 12.4)

    •it was how he jurked

•these machines are built for this

    •human bodies no

  • @SteeevoooLapeer you are right

  • @lacarretadelamuerte

You cant juke at those speeds so sudden. You have told be slower at some points and it was a mistake that was deadly

  • @bluetiege you seem to forget that airshows pay these guys to fly at shows.. i was last years 106 demo team and they paid for everything includig flights, and reinburst the teams for fuel as well. 2nd off... u should grow up and lear to show some respect for a fallen aviator that probably did more in that show alone then you have in your life. as far as spending.. squadrons have budget cuts. 300k a day ad you blow a 24k turbine.... it has to be put off. that's where the money goes to... defense

  • @brian4480 he experienced a greyout from the G force. it was his first demonstration.

  • @med1279 that is true but unfortunately he did crash into a neighborhood. the plane went through several houses and vehicles. it is very sad. the Blue Angels were created to promote military flight programs. the Blue Angels represent the USMC and the Navy. i hope to one day to have the honor of being a Blue Angels pilot. The pilot was Lieutenant Commander Kevin 'Kojak' Davis. when Commander Davis pulled back into a 6.8 G pull, he lost control of the airplane due to the effect of greyout. RIP

  • @med1729 that is true, but unfortunately, he did crash into the neighbor hood. he experienced a greyout from the G forces. god bless his soul. it was his first time doing a demonstration. poor guy. the pilot was Lieutenant Commander Kevin 'Kojak' Davis. A report was released on 15 January 2008, The report says that when Commander Davis pulled back into a 6.8 G pull, he lost control of the airplane due to the effect of greyout. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL. RIP

  • I thought he blacked out...... either way bless him and his family!!!

  • you guy suck ballz for posting navel shit about dieing my family work for the navey

    plz show respect

  • They kept flying to kill off airspeed .. Rip

  • Did he eject???

  • @bigfellakid no he diddnt. he stayed in the plane to make sure the blue angel diddnt crash into a neighborhood.

  • @med1729 Dang, no clue what that pilot is, but I highly respect him

  • i cant imagine the feeling of seeing that esspesialy the other angels R.I.P

  • :(.........

  • My hat goes off to the "Blue's"

  • From an American, and Navy veteran, Lcdr Davis was an amazing man. He is now flying above, watching over his fellow pilots. God speed to you Sir.

  • The show must go on. WTF!

  • @Steeplerot it's obvious that you have no respect for the military, or even this great country. it's truly a shame there are people like you in this country. Why don't you and your kind leave, until you can get some respect for our superior military, or you can get some respect for this great country, if that's even possible.

  • @Steeplerot wish they would drop a bomb of piss on SF, you unamerican scum deserve it.

  • @2204Alpha Ok im english But do you have no fuking respect!!!!!

  • @Steeplerot You don't like it you can move. Its cause of men and women in the services, you get to enjoy your life. So say thanks to these individuals who put their life on the line for you.

  • oh man...:(

  • oh man...:(

  • also you anti govt morons his parents was in the crowd watching, how many pos have parents that care about you, they were doing something they love being watched by people who love them, so why dont you pos's move to some other country if you dont like this one you have that right.

  • you asswipes with your anti govt propaganda, go take it to some other board that gives a fu*k, they were putting on a show for the people that care about this country and the ppl used to protect it, and someone died doing it. Have some respect for the people that protect your freedom and say something decent for the guys that work hard doing that, thank you all tones the navy ppl that do what you do. these lil asswipes should be thanking all of us. never will they say that to anyone's face

  • @steveo451 amen brother as being a pilot myself for this county il be the 1st to tell u its a hard life but we go thuro it so we can keep this country the way we have it now not saying it the best its ever been right now but were makin it so we have the time to get back to normel before we get overtakin by someone else may he rest in peace with the lord

  • You did an outstanding job showing him respect and dignity. As you stated, he and his team did everything they could and should.

I'm sure the rest of the team was devistated, but still kept flying. For that reason alone, they all deserve a standing ovation. And that beautiful pilot is now flying above us, ALWAYS protecting his brethern. Way to go!

  • @DocStrikers Well said.

  • @DocStrikers Very Well Said...

  • @DocStrikers that really spoke to me man... or women...

  • No one gives a fuck about the air show, a man just died. That's all those people will be thinking about.

  • The other People from blue angel's flying should of been freaking out.

  • Wow that is awful, the man dies and they just continue with the air-show?

  • I am simply criticizing the music, in MY opinion it has no place at a air show and in my 66 years I've been to many, even flown into a few.

  • What ticks me off is that the Navy say's it was "pilot error" because he failed to strain and passed out. I think that's BS. Watch any vid of Kevin Davis doing a media flight on youtube, and you'll see him pulling high G's with hardly a grunt. The dude was awesome and the navy threw him under the bus. Just my opinion.

  • @tycoff i can understnad the feeling but in one of the other videos ive seen it looks very much like he just let the plane veer down (or he was out cold). ether way its very sad and he was a very nice, he let my son sit in the cockpit during an airshow we were at a while back. From that video is looks like it could of been a engine falure but they have ways of finding that stuff out and could not hide if from everyone.

  • @brian4480 Like i said, it's just my opinion. I'm not privy to the facts of the crash investigation, but the Navy has a history of eating it's own. Remember the USS Indianapolis fiasco? The navy denied a destroyer escort to the ship after dropping off A-bomb parts at Tinian, then went so far as to bring in the Japanese sub skipper that sank the Indy, to testify for the prosecution at Mcvey's courtmartial? Two different era's and situations, i know, but it's the navy way.

  • They probably had some sort of contingency plan as how to end the airshow in the event if one of them went down.

  • R.I.P. LCDR Davis. In true military fashion, the rest of the Blues continued with the show, certainly realizing that #6 had gone down.

  • R.I.P. LCDR Davis. In true military fashion, the rest of the Blues continued with the show, certainly realizing that #6 had gone down.

  • I was there when it happened....im sure it's happened before, nothing's stopping it from ever happening again. I watched him go down when i was a boy. i watched it with my own eyes. Yet, it didn't deter my dreams of being a fighter pilot for the U.S.Navy. God bless those who have died, and who are serving in our Military and armed forces. Semper-Fidelis men! Semper Fidelis....

  • also saw blue angles today so sick

  • I just watched the blue angels today in New Hampshire and they were awesome! Don't worry, no crashes, and may this man RIP

  • Once again a big fucking waste of time, didn't see shit!

  • @carlosmurphy4u Do you bad mouth every BA video you see?

  • anybody knows the name of the song??????

  • i agree with nordy44 alltho i am a british harrier pilot i see his point .

  • omg, its very sad to see this, im fortunate not to witness this in person... i saw these guys in 2010 air and water show here in chicago, and they r awesome, i salute the pilots...

  • @Jexyyyy

I fly F-18's this technical failure is unavoidable in some conditions. I think I'd know I little bit more than you.

  • Jexyyyy has been blocked..good ridance

  • @SnIcKeRsOwNs

    Good. No one needed him.

  • @Jexyyyy YOU STUPID FUCK! Burn in hell

  • @Jexyyyy this is as real as it gets look it up on cnn.com this is real

  • @matt10411

    its fake. its gay.

  • @Jexyyyy Omfg the guy died...it was on the new douchefag. Show some respect!

  • @EmmyThaDecepticon

For what? He was just another random guy that no one knew. No one needed him.

  • @Jexyyyy he was a trained military commander who was killed and ur being a faggot

  • @BOOMallah

Trained my ass. If he was SO TRAINED, then why did he crash? He's pathetic. :]

  • @Jexyyyy then u go fly a f-18/a hornet and do all the stunts and come back and say i did it something interfered with the plane if u actaully read up on things

  • @BOOMallah

I do read up on things. I'm reading your comment which achieves no goal. A jet, oh I flew a jet. I can has me 20 dollahz nao?

  • @BOOMallah Thankyou!

  • @Jexyyyy Oh my fucking god, if you did read up on it, you would see that the crash was caused by LIFT FAILURE! It happens if a stunt is pulled to harshly and it causes the plane to lose control, it is unable to lift itself up, and that causes the plane to crash. It could happen to any pilot.

  • @EmmyThaDecepticon

Lol @ Rage. Then every pilot isn't trained well enough to avoid these so called "Lift Failures" for they fail at piloting. [:
