  • Beatles ARE Revolutionary

  • Comment removed

  • I like Dave Matthews but it was kind of disrespectful how he said "since I saw her dancing there." Can't mess up a Beatles lyric. Wow.

  • a mainstream music fan says: omg what is this ??

I say: This is fuckn Rock 'n' Roll dude

He says : OMG THIS IS BETTER AS MY MUSIC

    :D

  • god shut the fuck up Ellen

  • Somebody get Dave Matthews an electric guitar!

  • Four very talented musicians performing here and yet, they couldn't come close to the talent of the Beatles when they were in their early 20's. That's gotta tell you something,

  • Pharrel needs some drumming lessons!

  • Am I the only one here who doesn't hate Ellen?

  • @coquito86 seriously!! She wasn't even funny, it was kind of hard to watch.

  • Vice Gill and Farrell were freakin' awesome!.

  • beatlesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss beatlessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

  • this performance isnt very.. nice. but beatlessssssssss forever the best

  • before I watch this, there were 66699 views XD

  • this sucks bad taste

  • @dvohland33 the music you listen to im sure it sucks.. if you dont have a f*ckin idea about beatles, please shut up

  • Very very bad..uh-oh.

  • I wonder if Dave and Sting spit on each's face other while singing into the same mic? lol

  • after BEATLES.......nothing !!!!!!!

  • leave Beatles music to real pros not ruin it

  • dave matthews voice sounds sooooo fucking wrong on this song

  • Can someone enlighten me as to how Ellen Degeneres is even remotely funny?

  • 1:48 he gets the lyrics wrong? he says dancing, its standing

  • the beatles shuld have a holiday

  • i remember this clip from when i watched it live and couldn't find it again till now...Pharrell on the kit was sizzlin!

  • @myunclesnephew Loved Pharell on the drums. Vince Gill's guitar solo was impressive as well.

  • the greatest ever!!! beatles!!!!

  • shut the fuck up ellen

  • that was really bad

  • completely out of the key!!! terrible! poor beatles they deserve something really better!!!

  • Ellen, you ignorant slut, shut the fuck up!!!

  • this is like the new generation of beatles

  • will someone stuff a sock in that dike's mouth and shut her the hell up?

  • great!!

  • Who the hell is the loser singing, one of the bartenders?

Couldn't get a real band that night obviously ... not much of a tribute to the Beatles.

  • I love other people singing Beatles songs. A great tribute to the Greatest Rock Band ever !! Love the Beatles!!

  • dave is the best!!!!!

  • Sting was great.

  • sting is the only good one there

  • ugh, ellen .... fuck off you bitch

  • @plotchickens

when you a chance, go fuck yourself.

  • @oranger2525 she is a fucking ugly slut

  • @plotchickens .. .

    wah wah...

  • @oranger2525 you are still stalking me?????

ellen is an ugly not funny lesbian so shut up

  • wow the rapper phrell is drumming wow, besides that I love the beatles

  • Y is everyone complaining about Dave saying "dancing there" instead of "standing there"? It's music dammit! It's not the lyrics that matter. As long as the songs tune and meaning isn't changed then who cares. Plus, Dave matthews is waaaay cooler then ul ever be. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

  • dave is god

  • Polka!!! ??? I didn't even know Her !!!

  • The Beatles: Best Band Ever

  • What´s the song?

  • I Saw Her Standing There

  • Thank you.

  • I love the Dave Mattews' voiceeeee =D

  • dave matthews is watsup

  • How the hell can you screw up the lyrics to this song, especially the easiest line.

  • HAHA great intro by Ellen

  • the Beatles changed the world and reinvented the Rock music

  • @poussyledzep they didnt reinvent rock, they created it

  • @poussyledzep yea if by reinvented it you mean blatantly stole it from countless African Americans in the south. Chuck Berry anyone? I love the Beatles like every other white person but you gotta know your history bud...its like when people say Columbus discovered America....he only discovered it for White people, plenty brown people already knew about it and lived there

  • @TreytheRockstar chuck berry made good music but the beatles are on a whole different level. you could be from jupiter and upon hearing beatles you know that you're hearing amazing music. using your analogy is like saying Jimi Hendrix stole chuck berry's music. no, hendrix' music was as different to chuck's as beatles were.

columbus invented america for the whole world apart from the natives! africans, asians, orientals knew nothing about it until the europeans took em there lol

  • @hekoka Columbus was ignorant and lost his way to Indian. That's why he called the First Nations people "Indians." He probably ran into the Tequesta people when he arrived by accident. True, Anglo Saxons who write history in this country give themselves much praise for what they accomplish but also exclude and alter the history other groups contribute.

  • @pachacutti you come across as unbelievably ignorant when you spew nonsense and label as "ignorant" a man who dare to take on the raging oceans and travel the world with primitive technology 600 years ago something to this day you will never accomplish. its easy for you to sit on your warm comfy seat and get your answers from google 600 years later!

anglo saxons are the reason why you replied to comment, why you drive a car, fly on a plane, wear nikes etc etc

  • @hekoka What you and pachacutti talking about? Wouldn't this be commentary more appropriate for a history video than a music video honoring the Beatles at the Grammys?

  • @TreytheRockstar I beg to differ, there would be no Beatles without Chuck Berry, Little Richard & Fats Domino. Those are the first individuals the Beatles said influenced them when they came to American and at the Ed Sulivan Show in 1964 there were others like Elvis Presley but Elvis was emulating Southern Black Church music and R&B. Hendrix wouldn't exist without his predecessors. American music would not exist without Black presence in this country. Columbus got lost on the way to India!!

  • @pachacutti Sure America would exist without blacks. There would just be less cotton clothing.

  • @pachacutti you obviously didn't understand what I was saying because we're talking about the same thing, African slave songs became blues which became jazz, soul, and rock N roll

  • OK everyone...now go watch a video of THE BEATLES doing this song on Ed Sullivan more than 50 years ago with the tinny crap electronics that existed on TV then. The "BOYS" could blow anyone off the stage with vocals alone. Although Vince Gill did a good job, there's no excuse for how bad this is...except that It's the Grammys... the annual shitfest.

  • what a pile of steaming shite

  • dancin' there?

    it's Standing there

  • 74 million people watched it ellen not 72

  • I saw her DANCIN there ?

    learn the lyrics idiots

  • Fuckin' Sting! Only decent thing he ever did was Quadrophenia.

  • umm quadrophenia was the who, unless you mean when he was in the movie, i think he was

  • Sting wasnt on the album, only the movie

  • is it me , or what .. but ellen seems NERVOUS

  • it's part of her act. haven't you seen her stand up act? it works! one of the best comedy stand ups, male or female, ever.

  • what they should have is just a show honoring the beatles instead of showing this crap.

  • wow i remember watching this live thinking THIS IS TERRIBLE!!!!! I love DMB though

  • She said she likes all kinds of music including Rap....sorry Lesbian Ellen...Rap is NOT MUSIC!!!

  • and sting bites next to mccartney as a bass player

    complete jackass...

  • horrible rendition..i was appalled when i watched live...vince gill was good though...

  • no one even comes near to the vocal qualities of either lennon or mccartney

  • Always I hear these singers but very very difficult singing beatles. No way.

  • LOL I love Sting but damn he cant hit a high note for shit.

  • just listen

  • wow...

  • I really wanted to punch the woman at the start. FUCK she's annoying

  • rofl

  • Why does Dave Matthews have to suck ass so bad? He destroyed the song. Actually, all of them collectively should have been booed of the stage.

  • This is so good. I remember watching it and the hairs on my arm standing up. These guys flat out jam, and Pharrell pushes that racing beat out like there's no tomorrow. My favorite Beatles song to boot. Love this.

  • If that made your hair stand up, then you need to listen to some better music haha. Matthews didnt even know the fucking words.

  • Yea thats right, I said they're stupid, they aint watching :p

  • I think they didnt have the beatles charisma while preforming. No passion what so ever!

  • mingya....these guys were asked to play a tune....all different kinds of musicians....it's a tribute....they aren't beatles impersonators. and for the guy who asked who the first singer was, that's dave matthews. and i doubt your grandma sings better than him.the guy has more musical talent on the hair of his knuckles that your entire family tree clown.

  • Thats true what you are saying ( even the tree clown part ) . And really listening to it again I think its good. Reminds me of first time hearing strawrberry fields or helter skelter. Give it some time ey.

  • goddd they destroyed the song!! who was the first singer?? my grandma sings btter! he didnt even know the lyrics!

  • it's so screwed up that all of the pictures and video only show Paul and Ringo and never show John or George.

  • that is good music!

    no like now :S

  • Wow, what a trip ! Thanks for posting. Vince Gill---so many talents--who knew he could pull off George Harrison leads ? Sting sounds great, Matthews still looks like he is grade school. And Pharrel--who knew was such a great drummer ?!!

This is how music shld be-not all the faggy emo rock or rap sheit.

  • What the heck? i was flipping through radom channels and i saw sting supporting the who. it was like a tribute or sumthin. so werid. ahh well.

  • Complete and utter bongwater. Sting is an arse.

  • bongwater tastes gross........

  • Pharrell is all alone in the back, lol.

  • that (in the screen) is not footage of their FIRST Ed Sullivan show.

  • shut up ellen

  • What's pharell doing there??? WTF

  • pharell is the shit

  • Should have gotten the "Fab Four"

  • Sting was the best one of the bunch... except for the high note.. Other than that thought it was not to great... It sounds like they didn't rehearse or something..

  • Bad tribute i think.

And i think Ellen is great but i especially think the Beatles are FANTASTIC!

  • ok everyone shut up ellen is amazing

  • Wow she is pathetic.

  • ellen, your act is getting old..... shut up.

  • Ellen fucking blows

  • Why do you say that? I think she's great.

  • fascinating to me, how none of them( undisputable artists) were able to sing the backup vocals... makes me appreciate the beatles even more!!

  • this is awesone to have the BEatles be honored and then to have another one of my idols(dave Matthews) to perform on of there songs. Awesome.

  • Whether you like it or not I don't think Matthews' lyric mishap was a mistake. He's known for interchanging lyrics.. You may not like that to be done with a beatles song, but it wasn't a mistake....

  • i usually stick up for dave but this was just bad. its not just that he got the lyrics wrong....its the freakin name of the song!

  • ellen shut up! and dave i love you but way to fuck up man how could you! dave is still sweet tho

  • Yeh, what is Eleen talking about?

  • did the beatles ever win a grammy?

  • They won Album of the Year in 1967 for Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band.

  • do a google search of Beatles Grammys...you'll find plenty of awards they were nominted for ..and plenty that they won

  • Sting was the best one. He's the only one who has my respect as well. His vocals were also the most polished. "I saw her dancing there..."? How could you get the lyrics wrong?!

  • Ellen is adorable-- great opener! The subsequent song only made me appreciate the Beatles more... although I liked the fact that they did bow afterwards. :)

  • Pharell barely got any camera time. WTF!

  • EH I totally remember seeing this! "I saw her dancing there"? *Booooo* *Hiss* How dare you mess up a lyric when you're doing a Beatle trubute! That's just wrong..

I think the best part was the footage in the background..haha

  • This was cool. Nice blend of musicians, but I didn't care much for Dave's flub-up of the lyrics.

  • That was bad. I've seen better tributes. I heard Pharell was laughing on the floor so hard because he cracked up at Sting's performance "as Paul McCartney"

  • awesome..thanks!!

  • That was great !!

  • what a beautiful clash of musicians.... never thought I'd see pharrel and Dave Matthews performing together haha

  • Wow! Fantastic!

    Thanks!
