This program is not a luxury. Given the fact that the subject of wind power is so topical, the skills gained through such a program is truly vital. To lose such a program would cause the loss of some of the keys to our future.

The same is true of the effect of this ship on young people in regards to the appreciation of our rich history.

Given the fact that wind power is so important in today's search for renewable resources, I would think that the knowledge gained by continuing these voyages would be indispensable. If knowledge and expertise are lost, then we have lost some of the keys to our future.

It's great to see someone who agrees that this ship is a beautiful and vital part of the Erie community, as well as many others. Niagara is near and dear to many people's hearts (including mine), and if she no longer sails, that is an opportunity lost for many people. I (and many others) encourage anyone who is able to donate or help in any way to keep the Niagara sailing. She is too much of a legacy to lose. I know that I will do what I can to help.
