ive read this book (most greatest book ever!) and like really?!?!? ruin the end of the book much?!?!?!?!?!??? like the end is the best part and i have no idea that it was going to happen so it made the book all the more better. total ruin.. thanks a lot..
Death says that Liesel was a girl “ with a mountain to climb” (pg 86). What is her mountain? Who are her climbing partners? What is her greatest obstacle? At what point does she reach the summit of her mountain?
ans junior calls his dad a coward for not joining the Nazi party. Based upon the novel, do you agree or disagree with this statement. Support your opinion with relevant details from the story.
Guilt is a recurring theme in the book. Hans Hubermann’s life was spared in World War I while his friend Erik Vandenburg’s life was taken. Why does Hans feel guilty about Erik’s death?
he Grave Digger’s Handbook is the first book Liesel steals. Why did she take the book? What is significant about the titles of the books she steals? (Give at least 2 examples.)
you appear to be mentally retarded. may i spit in your face, i would love to. you disguest me,i have read this already, you point out irrelivent things. you are a disguesting sakurel.
this is the book thief: it is haunting, it is inspiring, it is beautiful, it is a nightmarish hell, it is love, it is hate, it simply is perhaps.
for future reference, if you are going to say somthing everyone dies at the end. Add the word SPOILER to the beggining of the description. You kind of ruined it for me. So Ya.
It doesn't require emotion. It's not about emotion, it's about facts, and I beg to differ, there are quite a few people who separate thoughts with a. b. c.
and you spelled 'aweful' wrong. "Awful"
Death wasn't alive to begin with.
and "story summery teller person?"
Sorry but your comment didn't make sense. Trying to put down people like that is just sad.
XD LOLZ I love how you were like "and everyone dies" saying it so easily. I was soo mad when I was reading the book and "Death" spoiled the end. *glares* but I love this book. I've been trying like mad to convince my Lit. Teacher to read it but so far she hasn't.
Zusak is actually one of my favorite authors, and I was extreamly pleased when I asked him to read a manuscript I've written and he really did. I think I've even improved since then.
duz n e 1 no where the auditions 4 the movie r bein held and wen?i want 2 audition as Liesel, but i havnt an agent and i dont no any1 else who can help me...:(
@bewarexxofxxthexxdog There is no movie. The things you've seen that look like movie trailers are just promotional videos. Some clips are actually from other movies.
I really would have appreciated for you NOT to have said that everyone dies. This rather spoiled the books for me...But perhaps it was my fault for being inquisitive.
i'm sorry if saying everyone dies disappoints.....however, it is true that the author tells you that everyone dies very early on in the book. so there really isn't any suspense around this question. one of the great things about the book is that zusak creates other kinds of suspense that keeps you reading.
The narrator tells you that everyone dies, guys. It's not a spoiler.

Max Vandenburg gives Liesel a story called the “Standover Man” for her birthday. What is the significance of this story?

Discuss the symbolism of Death as the narrator of the novel. Why do you think Zusak chose Death to narrate the story of Liesel?
