I love this song, it speaks so much. The man is the problem, himself cause I am sinner. Solution is not drugs or other things but I must say God can help you 'spend your live' and 'reverse this tragedy'. That people hit the last thing (after probably were in all possible things before)... surprise: drugs don't help! but make a mess. So if they told us something about what is NOT a solution but a mess, I just shared where I found the solution and you can too. Switchfoot have many songs like that. They don't say God buy somwtimes it's obvious. I'm glad you asked :).

@softman88 While that makes sense, I must say that the only friend of mine that I know for certain takes drugs isn't a mess at all. He's the guy that always cheers me up when I'm down and puts a lot of thought into what he does. He is by no means addicted, and has enough control to only do what he does once a week or so. Our lives have improved greatly since we became atheists. He came out of the closet and stopped supressing his emotions; I stopped limiting my knowledge became more social.

@gentzelpwns I think physical damage to the body is the worst of all. And that is what he is doing. He says to himself, through the drugs, that he is ok. The main problem with this somehow 'religios' stuff is that many people put God bounds in a religion (TODO or NOT TODO) and they really don't experiment anything and they say they are christians - that's why you should discuss with someone 'real' about this. @mr83g0n3 I was a believer, and I know I am better now as an atheist. The change occurred in me due to the critical thought I developed when sorting out my beliefs. I realized that the church is hypocritical and that the bible is mistranslated, my SAT scores rocketed up and I no longer feared hell. Unlike a believer I can do good for the sake of doing good, there is no incentive or threat. The religious waste time appeasing a superficial jealous god rather than helping people that need help.
