Hi i need as to how to get a good volume afterrecording a vocal from using sm58 mike and audiobox usb and studio one. I get very low volume of vocals when i try to sing in a tack mix. Please give tips
@phalkek With the Audiobox, the only way is to really crank up the input gain knob on the front of the Audiobox for that mic. Just make sure it doesn't distort. Another thing you could do is click on all the events for that track and hit the Normalize button in the track inspector..
@antoniobarrerajr You can't really, unless you just feed the outs you create into it. All of the actual headphone mixing need to be done in Studio One just like in the video but instead of hooking up headphones to those stereo outs, you would send 2 of them into the Monitor Station and then you would be able to use the Talkback Mic feature. But again, you'll only get 2 headphone mixes out of it.
Have you guys seen the Windows 7 equipped StudioBLADE keyboard workstation from Music Computing? It comes with the FULL VERSION of Studio One Pro! Click the link below for videos!
Great tutorial. I have a question. I am trying to route my headphones using Firestudio. I have followed the steps but I am unable to hear the music or vocals through the headphones. When I set it on default it still does not work. Is there a step I am missing?
@Missy1cutiepie Which firestudio do you have? If you have the Mobile, there's a driver issue that they're working on right now so the mobile has an issue. Also, what OS (Mac or Windows) are you using?
@Missy1cutiepie Yeah, unfortunately, my video won't help you yet. Now, there is a way around it though. What recording app are you using? Studio One? Cubase?
@Missy1cutiepie No, a headphone amp will not help if you cant get audio from the headphone jack in the Mobile. But you're not understanding my other question here. What are you using to record? Studio One, Cubase, Live, Protools? Which one?
Hey! great videos!! really usefull... Thank you very much! It would be great if you could show us the phisical connections... for example, how do you go from the HP60 to the recording room? Do you use an audio snake? Are the outputs balanced?
Mostly I do recording in the same room so I have extension cables from Radio Shack I use for anyone standing far from the console. When I have done live recording sessions at a clients practice space, I bring these cables along and they work great. I'll see if I can wip up a video on the actual hardware connections.
This is great stuff you are producing, because I have just acquire presonus lightpipe and 3 digimax FS for my new studio and your videos are off great help for me
thanks and hope I could ask you questions as I going forward
Yes it will as the FP-10 has 8 outputs. Which means you can run either 6 mono outs of the FP-10 to the individual ins on the HP-60 or 2 stereo sets from the FP-10 to the A and B stereo inputs on the HP-60.

@themuzic Thanks for the reply. I am using Windows XP and Firestudio Mobile. So is there an issue?
Missy1cutiepie 1 year ago
@Missy1cutiepie Yes, there's still an issue but I need to know what DAW (recording software) you're using and I can give you the work around.

@themuzic Thanks for your response. I am using Firestudio Mobile and Windows XP. If I install a 4 channel headphone amp would that help?

This will work with the PreSonus FP10. Thank you so much for making this video. I am using the outputs for my PA/monitors in my sound room now.

Will this work with (2) FP10's?

Excellent video. Thanks.
P.S. You don't have to unlock the sends for those when you adjust them, as soon as you move a cue send level or pan it unlocks it automatically.
