Yes Peter is definitely the best as Carlisle. I think he's going to do a fantastic job as the handsome vampiric doctor. Carlisle is my favorite character, for some reason, I fell in love with him from the start. I love how he is described in the books and Peter's Carlisle is perfect, just how I imagine the doctor to look like. :D

Yes, Carlisle was supposed to be younger in the books, but i think it makes more sense for him to be played by someone older in the movie. I think Peter's a fantastic choice, so handsome and caring, he can really pull off Carlisle!

Carlisle is my favorite character - he melts me heart. Facinelli embodies sweetness and gentleness. His face just shines with it. He's is the perfect carlisle. I love Facinelli in Fastlane and the Big Kahuna and Damages. He's an excellent actor who always puts a lot of effort in character study. He'll get it just right!

I love Peter as Carlisle too. Carlisle is a very facinating character, since he's like THE vampire in the Cullen clan, and he has an important role to play.

To be honest, I've seen Carlisle as Tom Cruise, when Tom played Lestat in the movie, ironically enough, called "Confessions of a vampire". But Peter manages to pull of Carlisle so well that I now have difficulties to figure him as someone else.

So yes, I do love Peter as Carlisle!
