@MuhammedTheDog brats on the beat had nothing to do withsurviving ramones cjay, marky, tommy, or richie. it was organized by jim from punk band pennywise and included work from jim, members of the dwarves, queens of the stone age, t.s.o.l., the donnas, and i forget who else. it was intended for parents who want their children to get into good music (ramones!) instead of bad music (bieber, britney, whatever!). which is cool. so you should rethink your comment.

i like and respect the strokes...but for someone to say the ramones are a sellout is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.....the ramones are utter legends and have probably influences more bands than any other band in history....if you dont believe that then look it up....they are much much more than the songs that people know them by...those arent even their best songs....ramones are one of the best bands ever......EVER
Ill admit the strokes aren't the best live band but then again im guessing you've never seen them perform outside the US. Their performances outside the US are always energetic because the crowd actually appreciates their music and they know it thus a better live performance. Just look at any performance from a festival and youll see what i mean

Search for some more live performences, for ex when they play reptilia on conan or Someday on Letterman.. you are way off....i am very picky about music,and the ramones have at least 75 songs that i like....the ramones have probably influenced more bands than anyone on music history....and if u didnt know,the strokes are incorporating 3 ramones songs here...the opening riff is "the kkk took my baby away" and the end he is singing the end of "dont go"..plus of course "life is a gas"...actually thats the studio version by the strokes,this is live....if strokes like the ramones,then shut your trap
All the surviving Ramones are out doing their own thing. They are all doing just fine. I don't quite understand what is meant by "selling out".
