  • Pretty much a summerization on my social life.

  • 4 people are wet cigarettes

  • the bass literary broke my earbuds... good yet also bad

  • i love this song, ina matter of a fact, i love this band and especially the album, good music to get drunk and have a good time to:}

  • im making a animated series..this is the opening and all their songs are going to be the soundtrack :>

  • what an anti-climactic ending :(

  • yes hipocracy yes............ idk where am going with this :(

  • why do they cut off the end of the song... catch 22 1234 is cut off at the end too... you dont like the thank yous during their jam.... i always listened to the whole thing, its weird it cuts off

  • @ShabbySho2unes I know the comment is over a month old but it actually isnt the band that edited it it was the user that uploaded it. I honestly prefer the end of the song intact with the rest.

  • this is catch 22 ....

  • @pugskreationz No it's not. Catch was Tom's (the singers) old band. He wrote this song while with them and played it with them but also recorded this version with streetlight.

  • @pugskreationz If you look, I am pretty sure that every single song from Keserby Nights is both on Catch 22, and Streetlight manifesto, as previously stated by "xdsoldierxd"

  • 12341234!

  • First time I heard the drums at 3:08, my mind was blown

  • @ANightmare7x Dude, everytime I hear the drums my mind is blown up and put back together by skank angels :D

  • I was all like "Yeah great brass Ska Madness" *somber acoustic guitar* "wut the hell?"

  • If Jesus played an instrument, it would be bass

  • @NARNAR1307 i thouhgt he wouls play a vintige light blue electric guitare from the 70's

  • @NARNAR1307 Pretty sure Thomas Kalnoky plays guitar

  • Woooaaaahhhhh <3

  • 1:04 epic moment

  • cant wait till august 10th live best buy with reel big fish

  • @kiloSMACK I just saw sm and rbf twice in the past week, you have quite the show to look forward to friend.

  • Is it normal that i masterbate to this song??

  • @69JM55 hahaha...sure? idk...lol

  • @69JM55 I only polish the ole master sword while listening to Streetlight now. It's completely normal.

  • @SMfan199 Lol. I was going to congratulate you on mentioning a Zelda metaphor...until I read the message you were replying to. Ha. >_<;;

  • @69JM55 normal to be gross

  • @69JM55 WAT....i thought everybody does that...

  • @69JM55 No. But it makes you awesome.

  • i think the catch 22 version is better...just my opinion.

  • @nickhawkman I think I like it more too. I try to put them in different categories though just because they both kick so much ass. But I like all the laughing and joking in the Catch 22

  • 3 people wanted abcd.

  • The bass. Just, wow. Can't think of any word but wow!

  • one

    two

    three

    four

  • this song live is literally the most epic scenario a person could ever be placed in

  • i love streetlight but theres a lot of times im not sure if im listening to streetlight or catch 22 because IT ALL SOUNDS THE SAME! BAH!

  • @irishpiratepunk Catch, pre-Streetlight, is nearly identical-sounding to Streetlight. Afterward (with their new vocalist) they sound incredibly different.

  • @irishpiratepunk Keasbey Nights was a great album. both versions were good but if u compare songs from the 2 albums streetlight clearly takes the win. the reason streetlight won is bc tomas keeps putting more heart into his songs with the help of his band members

  • I honestly doubt it is possible to hum that song

  • Just discovered an awesome band ;D

  • @johnpecquex

    Welcome to Streetlight Manifesto ;D

  • Awesome, I wanna hear a version with these instrumentals, and the vocals from the original Catch 22. I love the Streetlight version of every Catch 22 song on here...but for some reason the vocals in this one sound weird to me? The original Catch 22 just sounded more raw to me idk...listen to them both back to back.

Maybe it is because I grew up with Catch 22. But Streetlight has just a TON more talent which makes them my favorite fucking band.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • I'M SEEING THEM TONIGHT!!!! OH MY GOD!!

  • i saw them play this live i was so suprised

  • The main difference here is that I try try tryYYyyy!

  • @brmul12 got a skip button brah?

  • At 1:04 I doubt he can hummy hum that.

  • This Sonqq Iss Thee Besttx)

  • i have this song on my ipod, but the interveiw gets annoying when i just want to listen to music.

  • after seeing all the comments about rosiegirl, of course i had to go back and find them. i lol'd.

  • the bass line in this is bonerific.

  • ... Apparently Jesus Christ is really good at Bass Guitar. Is that in the Bible or something? Jesus brought peace and harmony thought sexy bass lines??? hahaha

  • the drummer doesn't do the double snare hits starting around 1:05... :(

  • cant we...cant we...cant we just get along

    :P

  • Both versions carry a energy to it and BOTH versions are good....so stfu and enjoy the music!

  • @TheDrummingPanda You Sir Have the best Name In all of youtube!!

  • @vanditjohnny Thank you very much sir!

  • This song is crazy live, the place goes craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy

  • listened to it like 10 times and still like haha

  • KEEP POSTING STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO ALL THE TIME! THANKS ROBOCRAT

  • LOVE THIS BAND!!! Saw their show in Austin 7/19/10 and it was AMAZING!!!

  • this song is bonerfying

  • lol catch 22 and streetlight same song i digg it hahaha i wonder who performed this first

  • catch preformed this whole soundtrack first, but it was written by their singer, who is now the singer of streetlight manifesto, because he didnt like how it sounded on the original recording.

  • @sta1nfather Catch 22 did but Tom Kalnoky was the singer for them aswell. These were his songs and he wanted to redo them with Streetlight because he hated how they sounded with Catch 22.

  • the whole catch 22 argument is pointless, i write songs now, and if i was in a band that wasnt so good i would leave and start a new band with my songs too. i dont blame their singer for "stealing" catch's songs, even though he wrote them

  • @MelodeathManiac just cause he wrote the lyrics doesnt he mean he wrote everything else, just sayin

  • @skamaster48 thomas hums the horn parts when he plays the song so the horns know what to play, on top of wrting and singing the lyrics as well

  • @skamaster48 no he did write everything or if not most of it he is there chief song writer

  • I looked back at Rosiegirl's comments. The thing is, Kalnoky WAS Catch 22. Period.

  • ...Epic.

  • This is my favortie song =]

  • This is prolly the best song made. Aha. Mos Def. XD

  • i loved this band for a long time, i just found out that they all came from just a few towns over from where i live.

  • Hell, I didn't know they were born in the same town as me until just about a week ago.

  • I love Keasbey Nights. I've listened to both Streetlight's and Catch 22's and I feel as tho Tom has matured musically since the Catch22's ver but I love the allmost raw feel the album has to it. Whether it's preformed by Catch22 or Streetlight, Keasby Nights is a great album. Quit bickering people.

  • We have a winner.

  • Its not Catch's song....its Tom's.

  • i like Streetlight better, but i prefer Catch 22's Keasbey Nights albums more even tho Tomas still sang on both records

  • saw them live in London Ontario, Call the office. absolutely best live show i've been to

  • @joelbo116 i used to fuckin live in London! haha when did they come i cant believe i missed that shit

  • "catch 22 this streetlight that"

u know what fuck all that crap

  • everyone wants to debate the whole "same band" "different band".

1.Catch22 was born by tom kalnoky and they made songs

    2. Tom and others left catch 22. (tom didnt leave to start streetlight exactly)

3.streetlight formed. remaining members of catch hired new people

    4. SLMt did covers of some of the original catch 22 songs. this song is one of them.

they ARE'NT the same "god damn" band. catch is still playing music, but with a new vocalist and others., and SLM is still playing, with Tom

  • @d4v359095 Yeah, but Keasby Nights is really Tom's baby, it doesn't matter what band he is in.

  • amazing song amazing band

  • God, the bass line in this song is godly!

  • Yes it is as if Jesus Christ Himself is playing it.

  • @Robocrat lmao whoever the bass player is gets possessed by jesus everytime he plays it lol

  • @Robocrat

    You mean Darwin? :D

  • @Robocrat who?

  • @rockfan2121 It's great I figured it out :)

  • I prefer the Catch 22 versions of all the songs that were covered by Streetlight, but Streetlight is a very good band in their own right.

The evolution of music is not always pretty.

  • they're the same god damn band. im not gonna use that cliche "why cant we all just enjoy the music" counter because i understand that people have diffrent tastes and like to express their opinions through argument, but jesus christ! Thomas was the main songrwriters for both bands and a few other key members from catch were also in streetlight at one point. this whole catch vs streetlight argument is futile and redundant, so all of you stfu!

  • They may be the same god damn band, but that doesn't mean they sound the exact same. People can (and sometimes do) play their chosen instrument in more than one style.

Plus, I don't see anywhere the supposed argument of "xxx sucks, xxxxx is awesome"that you speak of.

  • good to know

  • Judging by your grammar(or lack thereof) I think I can easily say that Catch 22 fans are, "fucking retarded".

  • haha. amazingly, I find this funny. =D

PS: i love both bands, catch and streetlight.

  • thats somthing a gay kid would say.

  • hey jeffster thanks for the input. but there is a reason more people like streetlight. ok yes yours is an oppinion and so is everyone elses. your allowed to like whatever you like. if you dont like SM you dont have to comment that you hate them. keep it to yourself

  • catch 22 sucks after Tomas left!! hence, the original writer re-did the song the way it should have been....piss off jeff, you fag....

  • Ignorance, thy name is Rosie.

I wish the interview was included so you could hear that he speaks about the way he felt the Catch version was not what he wanted it to sound like, and that it was pure garbage. If there's one thing Kalnoky is in it for, it's the music. Not the sales. Monetarily, Streetlight Manifesto struggling and they wouldn't have it any other way. Not that they aren't talented enough to make enough sales...they just tend to go behind their record company's back a lot.

  • I have a version up with the interview.

  • @sweeetrevenga You are correct anyone who would ever think of Kalnoky as a greedy bastard is sorely mistaken, my favorite quote from him (one I heard personally) is

"All of our music is available for free online, it's not exactly legal, but you have our blessing!" - Tomas Kalnoky @ Warped Tour Orlando 2010

  • i love the "oh whoah oh oh's" :D

  • Is Rosegirl001 on her period?

    I think so :D

  • love the bass line.

  • Someones on their period

  • I think everyone just hates you because your talking like your completly right :) and honestly... i dont see a big fucking difference lmao the drums are awesome and the bass is louder.... the pathetic thing is talking shit as if your talking to him yourself, he likes to do alotta solo stuff maybe you can tell him all your bull shit so others can laugh at you :D

  • was that realy needed?? why are u arguing on a music video well just a picture! and a song :S if u dont like the band why are u viewing this video and commenting on it? ok yeh every one has there own opinions but keep it to urself or make ur own video why u dont like them and argue on that but not just on here! please!

  • just enjoy the fuckin song for what it is

  • Rosiegirl, you're being a fucking cunt. I would say that to a guy or a girl.

Just shut the fuck up. Just cause you have different genitals doesn't mean you can go around bitching and not get told shit.

    Fuck off loser.

  • @rosiegirl001 Your a narrow minded bitch!! LOL. Your the joke here. You obviously have absolutely no musical understanding. Catch 22's versions just weren't as good as these by a long shot. You're the one making yourself look stupid by coming onto a video of a band that you apparently hate and badmouthing them. Ever heard if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all. Damn, you sound like you need a friend or two.

  • inorite :O

  • Arguing back isn't doing either of you good.

  • he worte this song when he was in catch 22 so without him this song wouldn't exist

  • Rosiegirl I'm all for freedom of opinion but you're acting like a fucking asshole. BLOCKED.

  • good song btw xD

  • if i could i would give you a thumb's up for tht comment.

  • @rosiegirl001 Hrm, well, no. A) Tomas is not a douchebag, he is amazing. Just sayin'. B) They re-recorded Keasbey Nights because otherwise it would've simply been re-released as it was. TOMAS OFFERED TO RE-RECORD IT SO THAT PEOPLE WOULDN'T BE PAYING FOR SOMETHING IDEDNTICAL TO WHAT THEY ALREADY HAD. CUZ HE'S NICE LIKE THAT. C) He always thought the Catch version sounded like crap, so they re-recorded it for quality as well.

In conclusion: Next time you go to bash someone, know your facts. ;)

  • I see that you've cut out the long-ass ending.

This is probably my 2nd favorite song, second only to BOTAR's They Provide the Pain... Eyelids.

    Ska for life.

  • i think its about time for a 'new', new wave of ska..since there is such a big difference between the older waves, perhaps it will be completely new set of ska bands that would make a 'revival'

  • ska will never, never die!!!

  • Amen, my fellow Skanatic!

  • Comment removed

  • damn the drummer is EPIC! no one would ever full combo his songs if they were on rock band. Damn.... I wish ska was on mainstream radio and video games

  • I wonder what sort of game would go well with ska, If one existed I would buy it.

  • I fucking LOVE Catch's Keasbey Nights. And I've never really heard all of Streetlight's and how they compare. I definitely like this, though.

  • i love catch's stuff a bit better cus its more punk, but this and BOTAR are good, but this version is so damn awesome, almost same bands but this has the all more experience

  • best of streetlights song on keasby nights CD

  • Streetlight ISN'T ska. Its Ska Revival, Ska-Punk, or something completely different. Streetlight is very revolutionary.

  • Ska, ska punk, not a lot of difference between the two, there's a whole lot more difference between the three waves of ska, so what your saying is a bit pointless... and ska revival? I think that, while they ARE a great, nay, an awesome band, you're being a little too "religious" about it... if you really wanted to classify SM, you'd probably be closer with Technical Ska-Punk or something because of the sheer complexity of the melodies(especially on somewhere in the between)

  • Ska is dead, and Streetlight is what the genre needs. Therefore, its a Ska revival.

  • And there is the simple unavoidable logic :P

But seriously, I'd wholeheartedly agree with you if Streetlight was actually reviving ska... Things being what they are, it's more like Ska-Artificial-Reanimation.

  • @Emelius7 your fucking high

  • then dont go on youtube looking up ska faggot listen to urr crappy pop shit (apologizes if your joking)

  • ur a fucking moron. this song isnt even ska u dumb fuck.

  • ur stupid

  • why do you feel the need to comment on a video that you didnt like yet decided to waste time on - that says more about you than anything you say

  • you dont know anything

  • i love numberz. llz. STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO RULEZ!!

  • 1234

  • I WANT THAT BASS PLAYERS SKILL DAMNIT...lol. I would seriously give anything. I can play a very basic completely repeating simplified version of that bassline but it just doesnt feel as good as listening to this dude lol.

  • not bad but I like the orginal better. I love both Catch 22 and Streetlight

  • ah man, i love this song =)

  • this song is deep. its about life

  • seriously I would kill to be able to play the bass like that.

  • the rifts and bass are sick...but takes some getting used to

  • awesome bass - drum break down 2:37

  • I recently watched them in concert. I wont lie it was sick but it broke out into a fight from the skanking =P
