  • Hoooooly fuck :DDDDDDDD

  • I own a vw 1.8t and a h22 accord, both are fun to drive..

  • I got a honda and a vw, I like them both..jus got the vw bout two weeks ago. They are both fun to drive

  • how much did it cost you to turbo ur vr??

  • im sorry but my vtec could fuck this bitch up i got 650whp, stage 3 turbo skunk 2, stage 3 clutch skunk 2, b18a1 bloack b16a1 head, i could fuck this bitch up i got 25psi going to my gas pedal so dont even try

  • @XxLEGITxHAZExX

This is the difference between VW owners and honda owners... even if your car is faster, you're still a little bitch.

  • @XxLEGITxHAZExX dude you make honda owners look bad.

  • vtecs own this

  • @XxLEGITxHAZExX roflmmfao lol

  • why not just get a b5 s4?

  • @crzygutrsnobrdr The S4's are insanely expensive to mod and a really PITA to work on. You have to remove the engine to do just about everything.

  • @Fohaley insainly? Franken turbo's full kit is 2k...with install fee and supporting mods, its not really that much. Do epl fueling, find some other used parts....not that expensive. Not to mention a gt35r 1.8t wont have a chance up against a simple rs6 ko4'd s4.

  • @crzygutrsnobrdr So you are saying... 2k + supporting mods + fueling + other parts. Sounds like we are looking at 4k + in parts just for some k04s that require dropping the engine to replace. What are these other supporting mods you have to do too? I know next to nothing about modding S4's except that packaged products for it are really expensive compared to vr6 stuff. Also who said anything about 1.8t's......

  • @Fohaley I didnt see it was a vr6 turbo. It really depends on what kit you go with. For example apr's kit includes everything you need and thats why its so expensive. But asp for example is just the turbo kit and you need basically the same supporting mods as any other usual car. Fueling, bi-pipe, dv's, hoses are good, smic, exhaust with downpipe. Sounds like a lot but you can get stage 3'd s4's for 10k with decent miles.

  • @Fohaley After looking some more at those things you mentioned..... Franken turbo setup + EPL fueling is 2k alone so that's 4k right there. I can get a full turbo setup for a vr6 for 2k which includes fueling and make 400whp, maybe 3k for 400whp with intercooler and head gasket spacer and that's also starting with a cheap arse mk3 golf/jetta. I'm doing a vr6 swap into a B5 A4 right now and I'm about 5k into it. Another 4k and I should be done and making around 600whp.

  • @Fohaley Let's also not forget to mention again how much easier it'll be to work on than a S4. I want new downpipes, REMOVE ENGINE, change out turbos, REMOVE ENGINE, oh crap exhaust leak, REMOVE ENGINE. Doesn't sound like the fun I want to go through with a project car.

  • @Fohaley amazing, someone on youtube with some common sense. thank you. and long live VRT!

  • @Fohaley oh and btw your car is AWESOME.

  • ima steal your car lol

  • dude what are you doing if you're running that with no intercooler or meth?!

  • those same two lights are on on my dash. lol

  • Talk about drag limited!

  • lol at first I was like omfg what the hell is that crap it fuckin slow as hell. then I realized it was in mph not kph makes more sense now

  • @beluga420 I do that a lot with other countries videos except it's the opposite. I'm like, wtf they are hauling ass. How is this possible in "insert insanely slow car here*. Oh yeah, it's in KPH.

  • Did you change your ecu for the rev limiter

  • Is that a stick or auto? It actually sounds like a stick. If so how'd you film it going that fast lol!

  • @CompCrasher86 It's a manual and very carefully.

  • VIVA TO THE VWS!!!!!!!

im rockin a 94 golf gti with the 2.0L in it.. looking for a turbo set up :D

  • to all dislikes. FUCK YOU

  • @2MinutesNwonderland they don't know what is real power -.-

  • stock compression?

  • @dankvwguy aye

  • You aint dubbin if you don't at least have a check engine light on.

  • @Nikolai85 After that many engine mods of course the 'check engine' light will be on... unless you go through and over ride it.

  • my wolf has the same engin and a brand new 70 trim turbo and will do abot 179

  • @fuck615hatekr3w Wolf? Wolfsburg? You must have a different tranny in there to do that. Possibly a R&P swap from a TDI or something because gearing limits you on a stock CCM tranny as you can see.

  • I got CEL and Airbag on my Jetta too, my clockspring broke so I removed it. So the airbag isn't even connected to anything anymore. CEL is O2 Sensor apparently. God I love Jettas!

  • Good God!

  • CEL FTW gotta love vw's hahaha impressive vid reppin the vrt alsoooo FTW

  • what turbo are u running ?

any tips on making a vrt i have the 2,9 syncro golf :)

  • that's exactly what my jetta looks like, check engine light and the airbags don't work. haha

  • Are you running stock internals? I am fixing to turbo my Gen 3 VR6 and looking at wat i need to do to get 10-15 psi and not blow the engine

  • seen this vid many times and it still impresses. you ever dyno it?

  • @lilchrisvrt I wish I did. I'm in the making of another car right now... it's been a long build that has gone very slowly since I was un-employed for a while but it's making progress! I'll post some videos once some actual major work gets done. :)

  • Damn dude, this is an impressive build! This Jetta somewhat sounds like a Skyline or a Supra! NICE!

  • amazing dude wish i had a turbo in mine :( love the redline! high rpms ftw

  • put an intercooler on =)

  • so is it pretty common for a check engine light to be on in these jettas? because i cant get mine to stay off for more than a week

  • @taylorromeo Stock engines it's really easy to keep the CEL off but it takes some extra money making sure you keep the emissions devices working properly. Places like here in Florida we just rip out the emissions devices but of course that makes a CEL stay on but it doesn't affect performance at all.

  • @Fohaley yea dude im just gonna take out the CEL bulb out and sell the car

  • @Fohaley yea well im selling my jetta. too many problems. not worth the money. just gonna get a wrx instead

  • @Fohaley Oh it affects performance. It improves it! lol

  • @taylorromeo idk about the vr6 but the 1.8t are notorious for the hoses cracking/breaking, and the thing is 1/2 the fuckin hoses are useless and are expendable. German Engineering (still love vdub though :)

  • @taylorromeo yeah my passats got the same deal.

  • Is this what jessy drives in the fast and the furious

  • @UKairsoft94 Jesse from F&F drove a MK3 Jetta yes but his had a 2.0l four cylinder with no turbo but it had nitrous.

  • Comment removed

  • thats awesome, At first i was like this is just like mine minus the turbo, but i got the white face indigo gauges as well, then i seen your tranny light was on and i was like THAT IS MY CAR! lol NIce run man, i hope to one day turbo mine

  • why arent you intercooled lol

  • Mk3 jetta= Best jettas ever made in my opinion

  • @ChesapeakeUndead yessir.. they are amazing when parts aren't breaking.

  • nice i hope u ant on jack stands lol

  • @skate4life2206 I wish I could simulate load on jackstands!

  • They stopped making it in 2005 and started in 1999

  • @ZachMitch1994 lol your sources are wrong n00b. there is no GLI level trim from 1999-2001. it began the 2002 model year. there is only GL, GLS, and GLX. get your shit right before trying to talk it.

  • did u need to upgrade the brakes

  • Good shifts, way better than those wannabe-racers here on youtube

  • power looks to drop at about 140 mph still a fuckin fast car

  • how do you like those 263 cams?

  • For the price you really can't beat them. They pretty much help through out the whole RPM band but around 4k is when they really start to get going. I'd highly recommend them since they can be had for 250 shipped.

  • Nasty!! is it a 99 or 98? looks like 98 instruments.. Ill how you got the rev limiter off..

  • @boghner1 It's an early 99 MK3. VW switched to the MK4 mid year in 99. Custom turbo software moved the rev limiter to 7200.

  • what software are you running? i got the TT chip in my 98 vr gti redlines at 8k

  • In this video I'm on C2 42lb software.

  • My passat is also bone stock besides an exaust.

  • gadam, thats pretty fast.

  • That's pretty cool I also topped out my 99 passat at 160 mph it was awesome! It's a 1.8T I think it would go a lil more but no more speedometer left lol

  • um...what all do you have done to your passat to make it go 160? with a 1.8t?

  • your an idiot it is not a passat it is a jetta GLI 2.8 l Turbo

  • @ZachMitch1994 you are the idiot. they didn't make the GLI model till like 2003.

  • The Volkswagen GLI is actually a fifth-generation Jetta. The Jetta was first introduced in 1979 and each generation has increased in both power and size. In the years that have passed since the origin of the Jetta, depending on the country you were in; the model year and the country where it was marketed, the Jetta has also been known as the Sagitar, Fox, Atlantic, Bora, Vento and/or the City Jetta. Volkswagen has a well-established history for naming cars ... owned do your research tard

  • @DemonOfRazgriz89

no they ha wolfsburg gli's in the mk2 jettas

  • @DemonOfRazgriz89 you are an idiot, they could buy a gli as a mk 1 or 2,(79-1992) they stopped for mk 3 (1994-1999.5) tthen reissued them as mk4's in 1999.5 till present.

  • All info is in the video details

  • @alcon133

    It's not a 1.8t it's a vr6 (2.8t)

  • No way in hell a 99 passat would go 160MPH with a stock 1.8t. they only have 150hp. What do you have done to it?

  • Comment removed

  • your retarded..

    VR6.. 1.8t is a 4 cylinder

  • thats bad ass, my buddys n/a can do 140 if it has enough road

  • Comment removed

  • i heard that putting ur gears in neut during high speed with melt ur clutch per-say is dat true/

  • @jylon42990400 Nope, the only way I could see you burning the clutch at high rpm is if you left it partial engaged and slipped the hell out of it.

  • oh ok, maybe the guy on vortex didnt know what he was talkin about.

  • @jylon42990400 A lot of people on the vortex don't know what they are talking about.....

  • ah lol. got u. i guess i should do a lot more research as a VW enthusiast

  • What Kind of Exhaust? Straight?

  • @johnny13truelove I had a full TT 2.5" exhaust on there but had a 3" dump right after the 3" downpipe, which is currently open. The dump replaced where the cat went so there was about 3 feet or so of 3" tubing after the turbo before it was out.

  • VR6 sound... pure music!

  • i took mine all the way too i have 02 1.8T i took it to 160 MPH easy but hella scary!!!!! thats what i like bout jettas are not governed

  • Hi, i have a vr6 and i am thinking about adding a turbo as something to do over the winter/early spring. I dont want to sound stupid, but do i have to prepare my engine for a tubro? By this i mean change parts to compensate for the additional power, i.e. pistons, connecting rods, axles? thanks

  • @mikemac2004 It depends on how much power you want but you won't need to change anything in preparation for boost levels up to 12psi. You can go up to 15 or so with REALLY good cooling. After that you'll need to lower compression. To be safe I'd do it before you go above 12psi. If you have a MK4 VR6 then you'll need a new intake manifold since it is plastic and doesn't hold positive pressure very well and will burst.

  • thanks, i have mkIII anything else i need to know?

  • nice pullings

  • NICE!!! I had a 97 VR6 Jetta and I got it up to 148mph...probably could have gone a little more but there was traffic :(

  • dude watch out for the cops.... Nice vid.

  • 136 in a stock 99 golf mk3 sohc 2.0l8v just intake.

  • i too have i have gone 145 in my A3 vr-t with full suspension it was still a hairy experience. It wasn't because the car was floating or I didn't feel in control...You are traveling fast as hell on a public road. One miss and your probably dead, Im pretty sure I rationalized this when I hit that speed and let go of the gas. I guess that means I have no balls. My wife is going to be pissed!!!

  • they're fast enough to get the job done.

  • Comment removed

  • yea you guys needa grow some balls iv done 150 in my mark 3 vr a bunch of times with no probs...but then again ive got a full bilstein suspension and brembo rotors

  • well arent you special. but i guess ya'll missed the point i was making. i did 125 on a bone stock 98 MK3 GLS 2.0 with four other ppl in the car at the time.,

  • i got 135 in my stock 96

  • dear sweet heavens i want a turbo so bad now. i just got this exact same kind of car not too long ago. i need a turbo now, lol.

  • Wow, that's fast. I would have to say the stock suspension start to get nervous around 110MPH. What kind of suspension gear are you running? Is the car lower than stock? Tire size? Brakes?

  • Been to 125 mph on stock suspension in a 98 mk3 jetta no problems, so I'm gonna need you to grow a pair. But kudos on the car .

  • hahahaha owned..did 130 in my mk4 1.8t but its totaled now : ( and suprisingly it wasnt my fault hehe gettin into a mk3 vr soon tho can't waittt

  • lol true , i have a stock suspension in my vr6 and around 140mph i fell like I'm in a roller coaster.

  • very nice well done :)

  • That must have taken quite a lot of time to get the turbo installed and working with the vr6 in the jetta, but a real wolf in sheeps clothing !!!

  • what are you runnin for a compression ratio? or is it stock internals

  • Stock comp, stock internals.

  • niiiiiiiice!!!

  • Excellent !

  • jesse has that is the fast and the furious 1 LOL its pretty dope

  • joder...vas volando ca

  • You should get your check engine light checked out

    =D

  • What and where Is the limiter?

  • 7200rpm

  • hey i have a 1999 jetta 2.0 and i cant seem to make it got past 115 mph!

    why is that?

  • those are the slowest of the slow :( you can get the limiter removed but it wouldnt make it much passed that speed anyway.

  • One, it's a 2.0, and two because you don't have many mods. Add a turbo, do some serious motor work, or do a motor swap. Then you'll go faster.

  • NO PERO NO PERO NO MAMES!!!

  • dude that iz the shit

  • alright il look into it, thanks

  • hey i have a 99 jetta as well but mine is a 2.0l wolfsburgh edition and i just have exsaughst and a air intake and im looking for a good turbo kit, so if any one knows of any good ones or has any advice please message me

  • Swap a VR6 into it for starters.... then turbo it. Don't bother with the 2.slow. A VR swap is about 1k-2k dollars and will get you 150whp reliably, un-modded. Sell your 2.slow stuff to get about 500-1k back. Maybe even 1500 if you are super lucky. Then turbo that.

  • is this the new body, i got a 99 jetta right now but its auto and my sister crashed it.....twice. it's not slow stock turbo but i want better lol any tips for me? got 85 on the clock

  • 3rd gen, not your body style. You have the 1.8T engine, not the VR6 which is featured in this car. Any tips? Get a chip, exhaust, downpipe, and a intercooler and you should be good.

  • i heard they make a chip for the 1.8t that gets u 40hp.

  • this is stock tranny & clutch? im gussing no on the clutch...did you change the injectors?

  • 325 am. 160 mph. 118 on the clock and the Check Engine Light is on. looking like a fellow dubber. looks sick!

  • this is incredible. 160 is awesome

  • es norlmal el chek encendido amigo cuando pones un turbo y cambias el flujo de aire el maf mas kenada por la eliminacion del catalizador para no obtruir la salida de escape

  • this is turbo wow i dnt hear n e spooling or nothin or a BOV

  • It had an open dump, kind of hard to hear much with that. Also, with most MAF based systems, you don't run a BOV and if you do you have to re-circulate it. I run a DV setup and I don't like squeeky noises every time I shift, not my style.

  • Selling my F&F Jetta replica. Search Fast Furious Jetta in Denver, CO on Craigslist

  • that F&F Jetta was shit it was a 2.sl0w

  • me facina el vr6 golf y jetta que pasa con el check engine? cuidalo!

  • why is your cel on? Does it always come on when you turbo it?

  • Most of the time yes but you can get software to get rid of the CEL for certain things. The reason why mine was one was that I took out my Secondary Air Injection that is used for emissions but here in Florida we don't have emissions checks.

  • where did u get ur cams?

  • I got my from Four Season Tuning.

  • its a mk3, u should be worried if the cel is not on.

  • lol so true

  • It's only fast because the c/e light is on! ;)

  • how do not run an intercooler with those numbers? its boggles my lil mind

  • With 11psi it's not totally needed. It's getting close to when you need some sort of cooling but not necessary. Anything above 11psi I wouldn't do without cooling. Once I cranked it up to 17psi I was running methanol and a huge nozzle to spray copious amounts into the engine for cooling.

  • Well done! Sounds beautiful.

  • vw saved my life

  • WE ARE V R TROOPERS!!!!! LOL, love the euro v6

  • it's not a v6...

  • VR love, i wish i had a VR-T

  • nice vid nice car. gj man

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thats a strong vr! Sounds crisp!

  • does it have stock internals? nothing like head spacers, or arp's? how much hp's? really nice setup apparently

  • Stock internals, no headspacer, no ARP. I never got it dynod but I was estimating between 375-400whp.

New build is going to be stock internals, head spacer, ARP all around, and coated stock bearings. Nothing special.

  • No offence dude but if thats 400whp, so 460-470 BHP at the crank, the car must weigh about two tonnes. Assuming it weighs around 1200kilos id say its about 280hp.

  • Sorry. This video was taken at low boost. I forgot. :( I had the car running at 17/18psi for quiet a while which was a crazy difference in speed from this video. I forgot it was at 11psi. Here yeah, around 300whp. With me in the car it weighed in around 2900lbs

  • i like the way the revs hang for a sec while you shift, sounds badass.

  • Yeah it's a great little "feature" on these models of Jettas. I love it in mine.

  • the car is on the dyno ;) no shaking at all and I can hear the dyno fan haha

  • speedos move alot faster on a dyno, and the "fan" you hear is probably the turbo.

  • Me thinks he was being comical, but I could be wrong. If he wasn't then oh well. If it was on the dyno it sure as hell would have been more lit up in my passenger compartment.

  • I have one just like this one. Its an 1999 Mk3vr6 and Im planning on selling it. the car is in very good condition. What do you think would be a good price?

  • If it's not turbo then 2-5k depending on the condition, miles, and mods.

  • what kind turbo you got, i got a vr6 and am lookin for a good turbo to put on it

  • Look at the details of the video.... It's listed.
