"O triste luar , suave e pálido, que leva os pássaros a sonhos e faz as fontes murmurarem em extase" Debussy inspirou-se nestes versos de Stephane Mallarmé para compor esta pequena jóia da Música.
Maravilha de interpretação. Parabens Dame Moura Lympany.
I grew up as a young boy listening to Moura Lympany playing Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto after my father bought the music. He told me that her rendition was the finest and I can see why.
All i can think is "i want to play this give me the sheet music!!!" unfortunately i only got to the bottom of the second page, and i shall have to practice the third page but seriously.... It shall take a lot of practice, damn Debussy.....
This is amazing. It is not a very sad song however every time I listen to it, it is so amazing a get a small tear in my eye. Thumbs up for this comment if you do this!
I know nothing about the history or composition of this song, and I don't know why this is so, but whenever I hear it, it's as though the melodious voice of God is softly whispering into my ear about our personal relationship. Regardless of its history, it's our song - His and mine.
omg . i love Moura Lympany (: seriously . she play Debussy by far the BEST . listen to her play another of Debussy's works: La fille aux cheveux de lin ( the girl with flaxen hair ) . LOLS.
I put up this music so that I might study to some calming music. Well, even though I've listened to this piece and to this particular recording dozens of times, I just sat here dumbstruck for 5 mins, homework untouched. This music COMMANDS us to stop whatever it is that we're doing and just listen. I could get more homework done were me and my desk in the middle of a Soviet artillery bombardment!!!
Debussy cautive the hearing by using these climbing notes from lower to higher, and when I hear this song it is like looking a magician doing wonderful tricks and games. It is fun and soft to feel all this and much more in the song...beautiful!
You know, even if you know nothing about art or music, there are things that some people do that are so strongly spritual that they can push through all our layers and touch us anyway. This is one of those things. I listen to it and I feel uplifted and I dont understand the artistic hows and whys, I just know it is good. That is the measure of a true artist.
oh, absolutely, it's a sad sad, yet beautiful and hopeful song.

Debussy nocturne, céleste, prenant, apaisant, calme, doux.

I like the paintings, especially at 2:21, can anyone give me any info?
As expected Debussy's music is faultless, thankyou for putting it up and giving people the opportunity to hear real music.

Not a bad montage, either.
Debussy - deconstruction is no help - best to enjoy it as much as we can while we are on this plane.
