i was at bethel when a glory cloud appeared in early late dec 2011 or early jan 2012. it was at a friday night service and it appeared three times. the third time i could see that it seemed to be coming from the ground up or perhaps just appearing everywhere at once. i was a bit skeptical and the third time i was watching very carefully to see where it came from. also afterward there were what looked like down feathers on the floor. never seen anything like it as i am new to the miraculous.

Do we not have enough people like SlayerOfThePumpkin cutting down our faith that we need to do it to each other as well? Imagine how God's heart must ache. In my short life of 18 years I've seen things that cannot be explained I've seen people fall down in worship,and I know people who dream with God and have went to heaven and back. You all seem to be too busy fussing over details to see what's in front of you. View your faith through the eyes of a child and realize how wonderful it is.

The Church in this video is of course imperfect but they spend alot of time in the streets helping the suffering. A supernatural cloud is the presence of God encouraging and empowering His children

@DarthxErik I don't deny they do some good, but that doesn't mean this isn't some cheap trick. It would be pointless to even try arguing that all those who run and work in churches are good people. I'm sure whoever did this had 'good intentions', encouraging loyalty to God, but as a believer I'd be insulted, and as an Atheist (my actual view) I think it's simply wilful fraud. God (ALL of the Gods...) is a product of man, a product of the human concept of 'good and evil'. That's why many Christians today disregard some aspects of the Bible, the 'word of God', as outdated... because God was invented by humans over 2K years ago, so his moral standards reflected that of people back then. Well, I was standing in the thickest part of the glory cloud, right in a doorway to the right of the stage. This stuff was flying very abnormally even there, which shouldn't happen if it was just "glitter blowers" or whatever. In fact, it was flying over me from the direction of the closed door, completely the opposite direction from the rest of the room. To all you skeptics and doubters out there, some things you just have to see to believe...

@majivugirl before you make yourself look silly, please research the operation of how a confetti blower woks. There are some great videos out there demonstrating the turbulent wind cyclones that help push the confetti (or glitter) back up into the air. The use of these machines are popular from Football Victory's, Concerts even Movie effects, watch the dance scene in footloose.

Well I don't deny it does look like glitter ha, but I'll take your word for it, God is amazing and I heard of epic stuff that has been happening over there at bethel so it wouldn't surprise me if this stuff shows up, since the bible does say Signs and WONDERS, ya it's wonder I'd say. But more importantly God's given the glory, peoples relationship with Him is growing, and if they have Him in a box, the box is growing too. yay. Also technically there probably is a glory cloud.
Also btw the reason I said technically is to simply say that wether you see it with your eyes or not doesn't mean it's not there, just like we don't exactly see God but doesn't mean He's not there, just like we don't see oxygen, even on camera but we know it's there. What I would like to do is remind you of a Scripture in the New Testament about a woman who brought a jar of valuable perfume in to where Jesus sat and ate. She broke it open and poured it out upon His feet. Some were angered by her act because they did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah. They spoke of the poor and of what a waste it was. What was in their hearts? They had certain expectations of what a Messiah should be.
@firthgirl that is such an awesome point!!! So true! I was at bethel when this took place, and the over whelming feeling of Gods adoration and love towards us was sooo undeniable. For me, He is just truly establishing that He is God, Creator, Almighty King and Abba - and He will love His children however He pleases. Extravagantly and in a way unlike this world excpects.
what's really awesome is that this is in keeping with Jewish tradition! The bridegroom sends gifts of gold and silver and sometimes precious gems to the bride shortly before arriving to wed her! I saw the cloud for the first time on December 9 too. The last 2 years have been an amazing journey for me. When Kris Valloton and his team first preached in my church in Singapore in June 2009, I was so offended I left the service midway. Was actually supposed to drive his team out for dinner but I refused after hearing him preach - and then I promptly sent a public email denouncing Bethel as unscriptural, irreverent, and leading people astray. How wrong I was. God has been gracious to me.
I was there on December 9 when the cloud appeared! God is truly amazing! Anyway here's my input. I know the overwhelming argument against the validity of the cloud is Matthew 12:39, "An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign." Here's the thing. Nobody asked for the cloud to come, it just did. In seeking God, this is one way He chose to respond. Also, read earlier in chapter 12. Jesus delivered a demon possessed boy. aka, He performed a sign that showed His deity.
Whoa, I'm just so grieved at all the acerbic comments on this page. If this is - even possibly - God's glory, then we want to be very careful of what kind of language we use to talk about it. The Bible says that the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5:8). When I look at the pillar of cloud that followed Israel and all I saw was water vapour - what does that say about my heart? Similarly, while some will be in awe on seeing God's manifest presence (as in the Temple), others will see confetti.

God manifested His glory in the form of what looks like confetti or glitter. Scientists have examined this cloud, and they cannot identify what substance it is. From what it looks like to them, it's hexagonal transparent gold flakes.
The confetti machine they are using in this video is AAAAWWEESOME! But I've never seen one used in a church service...usually just rock concerts and shit. Was this an awards ceremony or something?
I saw the same thing in 2008, only it was at a Van Halen concert. During the encore they played "Jump" and suddenly all these flakes started falling from the ceiling. The only difference was these were red, white and blue. Of course it wasn't attributed to the Holy Ghost...just the confetti machines they had mounted in the rafters at the arena. Possible the same thing happened here? Hmmmm....

Here is a challenge to the cloud of glory miracle. I would like to see this manifested miracle occur in a church other than the Bethel Church. If God is manifesting His glory in such a way, why would he not do it in other places in the same measure? We after all are not the ones who summon God's presence,, He simply chooses the places where He will manifest His glory as was the case with Moses and the burning bush. I am very skeptical of this miracle as it seems to only occur in only one place..

i was at bethel when a glory cloud appeared in early late dec 2011 or early jan 2012. it was at a friday night service and it appeared three times. the third time i could see that it seemed to be coming from the ground up or perhaps just appearing everywhere at once. i was a bit skeptical and the third time i was watching very carefully to see where it came from. also afterward there were what looked like down feathers on the floor. never seen anything like it as i am new to the miraculous.

Anyway, your theory works both ways- perhaps that's exactly why they chose to do it, it appears to 'adds to your credability'. Personally, I don't think the people responsible thought about either aspects- once you have a room full of people who pride themselves on blind faith and belief, full commitment to a thing you can't see... then it's fairly easy to deceive in the name of God. @chip897 My point is, he didn't send that at all. I don't believe God exists, for there's absolutely no reason to- but even for a believer, this cheap deception should be insulting. If your God DID create this 'Glory cloud', it just proves he has pretty awful priorities. I DO help people as I've stated before, and I feel if God was all-powerful, there is absolutely NO excuse for there to be unnecessary suffering in the world. Of course, you'll probably tell me it's to 'test faith'..?

Like a loving parent cares for his child so is God to humanity, but if a kid decides to say 'screw my parents i'm doing my own thing' then there's only so much a parent can do to protect their kid, they can say I'm here when you want to come home. But the choice is up to them, as for people who grow up in a grave situation in this world, bible is very clear about us doing everything we can to help

To blame disease, starvation...etc on people turning away from God is absolutely ridiculous- it's like punishing a whole class of children for the misbehaviour of one. There are countless people who'd accuse you of turning away from THEIR God- how are you so sure yours is the right one? Yours is just as likely to exist (or unlikely!) as theirs, and your God wasn't the first.

If you want to find Truth then seek it, if you think you know it all, then do that, free will is the gift we have, no amount of debating or intellectualism can either prove or dis-prove the existence or non-existence of God, but when you meet Him in Jesus name, you know it. No one's cynicism or skeptics can change it, the proof that Jesus is God is in the lives changed, that's the evidence.

@revival11 I never said the Church wasn't helping people, I know it does- I implied God wasn't. If an omnipotent God will shower 'gold dust' on people via a miracle, then why not do something useful? Why not remove suffering, rather than playing unnecessary games with his creations? Imagine if I could help a dying man, but didn't, because I wanted others to simply have faith that I COULD have if I wanted to...I let him suffer and die because his ancestors 'sinned'. Sounds stupid, doesn't it?

The Church in this video is of course imperfect but they spend alot of time in the streets helping the suffering. A supernatural cloud is the presence of God encouraging and empowering His children

What about people like me who help people simply out of consideration and empathy? (Yes, dreaded Atheists.) God is also not LIMITED therefore he doesn't have to pick and choose where he lets his power go as if it could run out or be spent. He is extravagant and encouraging to his children, so it's not that he loves others LESS but he has so much grace for those who seek his presence!

@DarthxErik I don't deny they do some good, but that doesn't mean this isn't some cheap trick. It would be pointless to even try arguing that all those who run and work in churches are good people. I'm sure whoever did this had 'good intentions', encouraging loyalty to God, but as a believer I'd be insulted, and as an Atheist (my actual view) I think it's simply wilful fraud. If God's power IS unlimited, then I guess it's just his petty, selfish personality that stops him ending suffering.

God (as an omniscient being) made a world he knew suffering would greatly prevail in, and doesn't use his infinite power to stop it. He doesn't spare even loyal followers. The only good that religion does is carried out by people, NONE of which isn't carried out by Atheists also. Have faith in other people, not a God.

God (ALL of the Gods...) is a product of man, a product of the human concept of 'good and evil'. That's why many Christians today disregard some aspects of the Bible, the 'word of God', as outdated... because God was invented by humans over 2K years ago, so his moral standards reflected that of people back then. Well, I was standing in the thickest part of the glory cloud, right in a doorway to the right of the stage. This stuff was flying very abnormally even there, which shouldn't happen if it was just "glitter blowers" or whatever. In fact, it was flying over me from the direction of the closed door, completely the opposite direction from the rest of the room. There are some great videos out there demonstrating the turbulent wind cyclones that help push the confetti (or glitter) back up into the air. The use of these machines are popular from Football Victory's, Concerts even Movie effects, watch the dance scene in footloose.

Well I don't deny it does look like glitter ha, but I'll take your word for it, God is amazing and I heard of epic stuff that has been happening over there at bethel so it wouldn't surprise me if this stuff shows up, since the bible does say Signs and WONDERS, ya it's wonder I'd say. But more importantly God's given the glory, peoples relationship with Him is growing, and if they have Him in a box, the box is growing too. yay. Also technically there probably is a glory cloud.

Also btw the reason I said technically is to simply say that wether you see it with your eyes or not doesn't mean it's not there, just like we don't exactly see God but doesn't mean He's not there, just like we don't see oxygen, even on camera but we know it's there. And so I also say that if they called this shekinah glory, or shekinah glory cloud, then I'd be expecting the physical manifestation of the cloud of glory like what was reported in the Azuza street revival. Reading the comments on this video just proves my theory that if Jesus had set foot on this earth in our time, the denominations of the Church would be the first to crucify Him. Remember, the Pharisees trusted in their knowledge and understanding of Scripture and it caused them to be blind to the very miracles Christ did before their eyes.

What I would like to do is remind you of a Scripture in the New Testament about a woman who brought a jar of valuable perfume in to where Jesus sat and ate. She broke it open and poured it out upon His feet. Some were angered by her act because they did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah. They spoke of the poor and of what a waste it was. What was in their hearts? They had certain expectations of what a Messiah should be.

what's really awesome is that this is in keeping with Jewish tradition! The bridegroom sends gifts of gold and silver and sometimes precious gems to the bride shortly before arriving to wed her! It's basically a telegram saying I LOVE YOU and I'm coming very soon to get you!! Jesus the bridegroom is coming soon for the bride that is awaiting and anticipating his return and He's just letting everyone know!!!!

I saw the cloud for the first time on December 9 too. The last 2 years have been an amazing journey for me. When Kris Valloton and his team first preached in my church in Singapore in June 2009, I was so offended I left the service midway. Was actually supposed to drive his team out for dinner but I refused after hearing him preach - and then I promptly sent a public email denouncing Bethel as unscriptural, irreverent, and leading people astray. How wrong I was. God has been gracious to me.

I was there on December 9 when the cloud appeared! God is truly amazing! Anyway here's my input. I know the overwhelming argument against the validity of the cloud is Matthew 12:39, "An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign." Here's the thing. Nobody asked for the cloud to come, it just did. In seeking God, this is one way He chose to respond. Also, read earlier in chapter 12. Jesus delivered a demon possessed boy. aka, He performed a sign that showed His deity.

Whoa, I'm just so grieved at all the acerbic comments on this page. If this is - even possibly - God's glory, then we want to be very careful of what kind of language we use to talk about it. The Bible says that the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5:8). When I look at the pillar of cloud that followed Israel and all I saw was water vapour - what does that say about my heart? Similarly, while some will be in awe on seeing God's manifest presence (as in the Temple), others will see confetti.

God manifested His glory in the form of what looks like confetti or glitter. Scientists have examined this cloud, and they cannot identify what substance it is. From what it looks like to them, it's hexagonal transparent gold flakes.

I saw the same thing in 2008, only it was at a Van Halen concert. During the encore they played "Jump" and suddenly all these flakes started falling from the ceiling. The only difference was these were red, white and blue. Of course it wasn't attributed to the Holy Ghost...just the confetti machines they had mounted in the rafters at the arena. Possible the same thing happened here? Hmmmm....

The Bible tells us to guard our hearts and He gives us discernment when it comes to false teachers. The teaching at Bethel does not draw people to Jesus, the only One Who can save a soul. It draws attention to PEOPLE who claim to have the ability to heal and even forgive sins (as per one video from the church posted on YouTube).

Man, look. No, Pastor Johnson is a Charismatic teacher. If you have problems with their theology, that's a different discussion. We don't say we heal, we say God heals thru us. We don't forgive sins, who told you that?

This is a cult. No other way about it. You need to be seeking truth from GOD, not from religious leaders who tell you this stuff is miraculous. It's a great mixture of glitter and special effects people. Trust me, God has much better stuff to do that send gold dust from Heaven to your little "church" in Redding. It's drawing attention to itself rather than to God Himself. He is the maker of any miracle that occurs. Not Bethel Supernatural Ministries. I say this with all sincerity and love, RUN!

@theskinimin81 Hi, there...I understand your concern but gold dust is a very common occurence, especially during times of miraculous healing. Years back, I attended a church in which gold dust appeared often during worship. It could simply be what God referred to when He spoke of "signs and wonders" in the last days. In all gentility I must confront you on your stmt that "God has better stuff to do then send gold dust". Who R we 2 judge what God will/won't do? His ways R not our ways. Peace 2 U.

There has been a cry rising out of the people of God for signs, wonders and miracles. I thank God, He does what He wants, Gold clouds and all. The children of Israel followed a cloud for 40 years. To all of you who believe it is a deception and are giving out warnings, we are in a place of grace and mercy, not the Old testament judgements.
He is giving His future bride a foretaste, in other words He's throwing parties for His future bride, I warn you! You're in danger.....of missing the party.

We really shouldn't focus on the super natural -- God wants people who just focus on him and see him in those things. Treating super natural with no regard shows God that it is also what we are not looking for but only for him and that we don't follow him for the supernatural. Even so, its awesome that daddy God showers his children with cool stuff while they are having a party for him. :) God's cool like that.

Here is a challenge to the cloud of glory miracle. I would like to see this manifested miracle occur in a church other than the Bethel Church. If God is manifesting His glory in such a way, why would he not do it in other places in the same measure? We after all are not the ones who summon God's presence,, He simply chooses the places where He will manifest His glory as was the case with Moses and the burning bush. I am very skeptical of this miracle as it seems to only occur in only one place..

Hey folks! I get it. I went into prayer with my Bible, and God spoke the truth in what you are saying....He spoke to me about false prophets and that my goft of discernmant is vital to keep me on track. I had wanted to go to Bethel for a conference, but was told "No." That is NOT where I am. Thank you walksbyf8h!

@breeze97760 Well, I say you're good doing that. Always strive harder. Know your theology and defend it to the death! Don't let walksbyf8th scare you out of going to Bethel. Don't fear any man. Just know your Bible and what you believe about God and what the Christian walk should look like. Go 100% man. I'm a beliver. I'm open to Holy Spirit works. I also have no problem with "whatever God want to do". Just for this case, I wasn't there and from the video looks like somebody put the gold dust in the air conditional exit to make people so excited. Why only on that air conditional exit conner?
