  • This movie pissed me off so bad ....its not even funny. There are some who forget what was sacrificed for liberty

  • And after this he orders the executions of the wounded Patriots. If I was him, I would have left them there and left the house.

  • Tavington you cunt....

  • Some guys I reenact with were extra's with the Militia

  • @1:11 : RUN LIKE THE WIND!

  • Stupid boy...

  • @ConceptRevival Slavery was around since like thousands of years. Human rights are relatively modern concepts not known to our ancestors.

  • I love how they make freeing slaves who fight for Britain a bad thing. It is the definition of propoganda.

  • Yeah, we don't serve the King of England anymore. We serve King Obama, where are you patriots???

  • @derekHSmith Youre getting a little out of hand with that one.

  • YOUTUBE USER "GROBO11" NEEDS PSYCHIATRIC HELP IMMEDIATELY, HE HAS STALKED ME ACROSS MULTIPLE YOUTUBE VIDEOS WITHOUT PROVOCATION, IS FIXATED ON MY YOUTUBE COMMENTS AND CLEARLY MAINFIESTS HIS INNER INFERIORITY COMPLEX IN FEIGNING SUPERIORITY. HE IS A CASE FOR INSTITUTIONAL CARE,,,,,,He has exhibited anal retentive-obsessive compulsive disorder repeatedly. HIS CONTINUED FIXATION ON MY POSTINGS will prove out my diagnosis.

  • And as always, the English are the Nazis.

I mean come on! What does Gibson have against the English?!

  • @Atvishees Apart from that;

If this is how the US thinks the British act(ed), then I don't wonder why Americans have such a low reputation in Europe.

  • "Sir we're not slaves, we work these land freed men"

Lol back to being a slave for the King's army.

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR Different era you troll. Also, what did you expect 18th century linemen infantry to do? Timetravel to the 21st century and kill a guy they have never heard about? Idiot.

  • "Sir we're not slaves, we work these land...freed men" LOL

  • "Burn the house down."

"Aaaand err, I dunno, are there any puppies you could kill or something?"

    "HEIL KING GEORGE!"

  • The good guy at the 0:52 mark dies later in the next scene of the film.

  • Best Villain ever. I don't think anyone else could've played him any better.

  • Dragoons... England's finest

  • @trAANCetw

    Dragoons...Protoss's finest.

  • What is this shit?

"We're not slaves, were free men!" No such statement was ever made by any slave back then, none of them were free.

  • @grobo11 actually there were free blacks that own slaves in the americas to them it was just business as long as they have their product to be on the ships on time and have their money they were happy and there were white slaves as well if you really think bout it its better then staving to death on the streets at least you have food and shelter

  • @lestat1591 The percentage is so minute that it isn't even a decimal number. Furthermore, if they were 'free men' then why in gods name would you work on a plantation?

It's just bullshit Mel Gibson put in, in order to spit shine and polish the British colonials (future Americans) in the war and in the film.

  • @grobo11 The southern theatre was basically a civil war between patriots and loyalists. Really, whats the point in arguing over a film that is consistently up there alongside Gladiator as most historically inaccurate.

  • Man, even back in the coloneal days Lucius Malfoy was a douche. LOL!

Jason Issacs fuckin owns!!! Such a great actor

  • Colonel Tavington makes me horny! ;-)

  • Without condoning his actions, I think the fictional character portrayed in this movie is about as badass as you can get without losing your sophistication.

  • LOL@ we work this land free men. Too rosy.

  • Hello to Jason Issacs ;)

  • First a good officer, 0:52 then a terrible colonal right after...

  • like Darth Vader in star wars...except the black mask and astmatic respiration...

  • Good to see this happen to the ungreatful american. I only wish the British won the war, America would of been better off . Brits do everything right. All of this death could of been avoided if the americans just payed that their damn taxes and not been so damn greedy, typical of americans though, money first. I would of been loyal to the crown if I lived back then, oh well......

  • @stickedU im from britain, white man, did something bad happened to you in the past, i mean i used to be racist, but its not worth the hate, its heavy baggage you live with every day.. enjoy life,,, by the way us brits love america, , brothers in arms today

  • Yes, atrocities were commited on both sides, but the Americans mainly did atrocities to the Tories out of fear. But, there were probably only a tiny handful of atrocities to the British. Forgotten Patriots, the true story of the American POWS of the British ships. It is a traversty that most gentlemen would do such to their own kind. But, they thought us colonists. Read their definition of us as well. I am glad we are friends now. Good chaps since they have changed.

  • Well isn't this the most biased piece of filming ever to shit on the silver screen? The Americans appear to be sanctimonious saints and the British are portrayed as Church burning, demonic, fascist warmongers. Atrocities were committed on BOTH sides.

  • @mightywindmill102 It's a Mel Gibson movie, what do you expect?

  • Damn British people kicked their asses straight to Britain

  • Well their ancestors are still living there :)

  • jason isaacs is so good in this role. hes terrifying! just looking at him alone scared me

  • The British could buy they're way into becoming a General, Hence Banastre Tarleton

  • The atrocities were committed by the rebel milita not by the British Army, this is a crock of shit!

  • You do understand the Chain of Command don't you? Cause if you ever undermine me again you'll be cleaning latrines with your tongue till you can't taste the difference between Shit and French Fries!

    Hahaha, Jason Issacs is Awsome!

  • You Delta Boys are a bunch of undisciplined cowboys!

  • Rangers lead the way! HOO-AH!

  • Assume these two men had no previous introduction, How did the Colonel know that he was a leftenantt? Uniforms were not as regimented as they are today or as they were in the 19th century. If one was not subtle, they could easily have a more elaborate uniform then their commander. It was more to do with money then rank.

  • There would've been evident rank insignia in those days. Ranks in the british army at the time weren't as they are today. For example, a cloak or a baton could denote rank, so this Lieutenant obviously had distinguishing insignia to identify himas a Lieutenant. as for the guy below (landovida).....a Lieutenant would bow to a colonel because the colonel is of distinctly higher rank!!

  • Since when does a lieutenant bow to a colonel? :(

  • Syns Lieutënántë-Cólónël Willíäm Távíngtón. ;D

  • uh??? ok? :(

  • They dont. Perhaps the removal of ones hat or a salute, yes. Certainly to the Monarchy and perhaps a slight bow to a senior peer. Unfortunately this film warps truth for film aesthetics. Making those without the capacity to understand this is not a historically accurate film.

  • "They're militia! They're farmers with pitchforks!"

  • "Damn him!.... Damn that man!"

  • lucius malfoy

  • @mistersam92 i know i just found that out today i was like whoah wtf did not see that coming lol

  • does anyone have the scene where gibson has the prioner exchange

  • yes its on my channel

  • @helgarhead i want the discussion scene from just before that scene. can't find it.

  • @helgarhead the actual negotiation

  • This is a good movie Jason Isaacs is a good actor.

  • every Brit is good, remember Americans practically are British as people went to America from England.

  • Why did they leave????

  • @helgarhead that's not true! Not all Americans come from England or even Britain! I myself am part German and Danish. And African Americans count for a large percentage. America is basically a stewpot of all different cultures and backgrounds. Even when the American Revolution was going on, there were many people from different countries other than Britain.

  • @helgarhead And let's not forget the people who were here before anyone. The people whose land was stolen from them. We owe them a lot. so please do not put generalizations on here, because for the most part they aren't true.

  • @helgarhead Britian, dont forget the scots and irish

  • O h your full of shit

  • obama3rdterm's mother has had 10 x the amount of men as the number of views of this vid. ( but only in the state of Rhode Island}
