I used to play like that, with MP placement way off to the side of my lips. I had all kinds of problems with endurance and range. Placement should be closer to the center, doesn't have to be dead center but the extreme side embouchure is a weak one IMHO.
Asians don't understand that not everyone has to be accomplished by the age of 12... Of course she has talent, but this could be damaging to that girl's teeth and could make bad habits that she will never overcome. This isn't the piano or violin, you don't just move your fingers. There are no 6 year old trumpet prodigies for a reason, it is physically not a good idea.
if you dont do it early then it would be near impossible to do when theyre older and they would be stuck with a mis developed embochure for the rest of their lives
Possibly, not necessarily. It's impossible to judge if the closest you have gotten to her is watching one crappy clip on YouTube. Physiology is VERY important.
oh wow shes good for having braces. i've got braces and i've learned how to play with them, and yea, i know its weird, but i've had them for all 4 years i've been playing the trumpet. i'm going to be a wreck when i get them off. shes really good though. congrats on that :)
She does a GREAT JOB, especially considering that she's wearing braces on her teeth. I remember kids TRYING to play their trumpets in middle school with braces, and it was VERY DIFFICULT. I also like the pianist. Maybe I would've continued with piano lessons if my piano teacher were as pretty. :-)
So, from the info, "She is wearing the correction apparatuses of teeth." Is that like a literal translation for braces or something? haha. She's really good though, I think that if she keeps at it I might need to increase my practicing.
i used to like the 2nd movment of this sonata till i herd this rendition i no she is young but she should have quit wen she was a head after playing the 1st movement
Really wonderful at such a young age! When the braces come off it will be an adjustment, and that will be a good time to center that embochure a little bit.
There are several possible reasons for this - here's the most common: often, when one first picks up a trumpet, the instinct is to see the bell directly in front of one's face. In fact, due to the design of the instrument, the bell should be positioned slightly to the left of what feels natural. Thus, most trumpet players tend to position the mouthpiece and form the embouchure slightly to the right of where it should be. Doesn't she sound great, though?
Great sound, great intonation. As a player with a little experience, I suggest you try to shift your embouchure to middle of your lips. You're going to be a star!
pas terrible en plus normalement c'est beaucoup plus rapide

If she's playing correctly then her teeth wont be in pain.

That's where you're wrong, Maynard was great at 6 years old.

She's pretty good. She's got nice tone, though her embochure is way off.
Move the mouthpeice to the middle of her lips and a bit of practice with keeping a steady tone and she'll be great. =)

The off-center placement may have somethng to do with the fact that she's wearing braces.
