I love this film. Critics said horrible things about this film but I don't care. They criticized Mad Max 3, Rambo 3, Alien 3, Jurassic Park 3, X-Men 3, Mission Impossible 3, Resident Evil 3 but I loved all these films. The same with Spider-Man 3. Yes, it was weaker than previous two films but the storyline was interesting. Peter has 3 strong rivals including his darker side. Visual effects & fight scenes were impressive. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst & James Franco were awesome

Just because a movie or two was decent with a certain actor or actress, doesn't mean they automatically make the franchise. I hate it when someone says "toby makes spiderman", or "kevin conroy IS batman". That version of Eddy Brock/Venom was butchered. First of all Brock himself wasnt a sarcastic kiss ass, and should of been played by someone more stockier and more like tough guy attitude. i think originally, to obtain the PG-13 rating for the film, they thought that the inclusion of venom's tongue would frighten audiences immensely, so it was removed from venom from the final picture. though at 0:39, it's the ONLY time you get to properly see Venom's tongue.........

The symbiote with Spiderman was weak, rageless. With Brock it's powerful, full of rage, full of ambition. Brok's adrenaline is what attracted the symbiote, so that's another thing against Spidey, he lacks the high level of adrenaline Brock has.

Of course there's things to pick up from. Introducing other villains and starting the Lizard saga once and for all since they've been constantly waving in our faces Conners so much. It wasn't canceled because "there was nothing to pick up on", everything was already being planned. It was canceled because of problems between Raimi and Sony with the script because Raimi wanted the Vulture while Sony wanted Blackcat. Spider-Man 3 has nothing to do with the cancelation.
Whatever helps you sleep at night buddy, I'm no Spider-Man expert. So there should be nothing for me to complain about. I thought Spider-Man 3 was great! not better than the first one but close too it. Just gotta get use too the guy not having a cameo in the films. I'm upset for the same reasons: No lizard, and no Black Cat, probably won't even be Tobey. But you can't judge a book by it's cover, you might like the reboot better. Just like the Hulk and The Incredible Hulk.

A very similar situation when Venom wasn't meant to be in the 3rd film at all, but Sony forced him into adding him in. Raimi clearly didn't want that to happen to him again. Sam Raimi didn't even want Venom in the movie but the producers told him to incorporate Venom in there for more key value. In short, he was a last minute decision. So the problem is, they never should have put Venom in the movie if he wasn't gonna be a main villain to begin with

topher grace was the perfect eddie brock, but venom wasnt done right. where was the tongue and voice? tobey was the perfect nerdy high school peter parker. maguire never moved past the nerd stage of parkers life, despite the fact peter parker the man is completely different to peter parker the teenager in the comics, maguire never moved past the nerd. its not his fault tho, the writers should have realised it. oh and where were the one liners as spiderman? he said like 1 in the whole trilogy!

No. What you're saying doesn't even make sense and would ruin the whole trilogy. Everything's fine as it should be(even though 3 is kind of the worst one, still I'm pissed that Spider-Man 4 was dropped, even if 3 was considered bad by people, I hate how those script conflicts caused everything to fall to shit and now we're stuck with some reboot directed by some new prick).

I'm just really annoyed at how everything was stopped and we're getting a reboot. I especially hate how we're going to go through his whole origin again unlike the 2008 Hulk reboot which just showed him becoming the Hulk in the intro.

I don't think there is nothing to pick up from, Harry is dead, Venom & Eddie Brock is dead, Sand man is no longer a Villian, Pete and MJ will rekindle their relationship, and "just leave the rest to your imagination" is basicly what they are saying. Maybe if they took Spider-man 3 in a slightly different perspective (like leaving a villian out for the next one) they wouldn't be rebooting the film. It deosn't seem like they have any options if you ask me. As much as i would love a continuation

Of course there's things to pick up from. Introducing other villains and starting the Lizard saga once and for all since they've been constantly waving in our faces Conners so much. It wasn't canceled because "there was nothing to pick up on", everything was already being planned. It was canceled because of problems between Raimi and Sony with the script because Raimi wanted the Vulture while Sony wanted Blackcat. Spider-Man 3 has nothing to do with the cancelation.

Whatever helps you sleep at night buddy, I'm no Spider-Man expert. So there should be nothing for me to complain about. I thought Spider-Man 3 was great! not better than the first one but close too it. Just gotta get use too the guy not having a cameo in the films. I'm upset for the same reasons: No lizard, and no Black Cat, probably won't even be Tobey. But you can't judge a book by it's cover, you might like the reboot better. Just like the Hulk and The Incredible Hulk.

I'm not saying the reboot will be 100% terrible, could be good, it's the fact it's a stupid drection made(along with showing us what we already saw in the first film) overall when the fourth film was already planned out so much until the stupid villain fiasco started. If this situation happened years ago after 3 came out, MAYBE it'd be less disappointing because we wouldn't of needed to wait for this total bombshell of bad news. The fact it's an origin story AGAIN is what's most obnoxious.

The idiotic thing is how it's all because Raimi decided to stand up against Sony's bitching about wanting Blackcat over Vulture. A very similar situation when Venom wasn't meant to be in the 3rd film at all, but Sony forced him into adding him in. Raimi clearly didn't want that to happen to him again. He fought back, and bam, instant kick and reboot ahoy!

@darkchiefReborn The main reason most ppl hated it because they put Venom in there but did not make him a main villain or at least a very important villain, he only got a few minutes in the last part of the movie. Sam Raimi didn't even want Venom in the movie but the producers told him to incorporate Venom in there for more key value. In short, he was a last minute decision. So the problem is, they never should have put Venom in the movie if he wasn't gonna be a main villain to begin with

@naamhier IMO Tobey didnt feel like the first actor I would have chosen for pete. Dont get me wrong I like him, but I dont think he's the spiderman Ive known and loved since the comics of old. He's being played this time by a younger actor and its set in the days when Peter was with Gwen. Its a seperate continuity and its using different villains and director. From whats been leaked off the set footage and the script it seems promising

If this was made by Marvel, they would have took the New Goblin s#*% out, I didn't like Sandman. Too be honest, no one really talks about him too often. Just Imagine some of those Sandman scenes replaced with Scorpion's! Mary Jane was never so sad all the time, I liked Harry in the first movie, Tobey was okay, but i hate his facial expressions, Topher & Venom weren't too bad either.

Spider-man 3 has its mishaps and I'm gonna be honest and say tht one of them was NOT Topher Grace cast as eddie/venom, in fact the things he said and the way he acted for the little time he had actually brought venom to life, the voice was just like how it should be, when ur in the suit it just alters it to be deeper, everything else just could've been a litte better, esp, the screenplay, thts really what the film lacks, it wasn't fair to anyone this movie to really show their stuff because of

on imdb they said spider-man 4 would have carnage in it, but that was a while ago so things might have changed. venom didn't have the low voice and the low growl type thing i was expecting. actually, the scream he gave off would have fit carnage more than spider-man. but i gotta say, they did a good job of making him look creepy haha

They really disappointed me of what they did to my favorite superhero. These spider man movies really sucked. Really Topher shouldve been spiderman. Venom is taken from the Ultimate Spiderman comics, where Venom is a more "Anti-Spiderman". That is why he's Eddie Brock Jr.
I really think they should release Spiderman 3.1 and give more development to Venom - and alter his voice to sound MUCH scarier when he's in his Venom form.
and I think Sophia Bush would've been the perfect MJ.
