  • Saw him at the Manchester Apollo in 1980, what an awesome show that was!!!!

  • I was born in March 1979 lol - work it out for yourselves what age I was when he did this performance! :P xx

  • I so remember buying this! Fab, fab fab...

  • Gary Numan hit number 1 two times in 1979, and he is still so under rated.

  • Gary was way ahead of his time with his selection of sounds. Everybody knew this back then, which is why it went straight to number 1.

  • class..!!

  • i want this played at my circumsicion.

  • Good lip/instrument synching

  • Painful copy of Bowie... look at the 'moves', the way he touches the mic., the acid little looks... A rip off of The Thin White Duke's German period.Period!

  • @andreaprodan oh, who cares? He's absolutely gorgeous and does it well, even if if some people consider his style a Bowie "rip-off"

  • @NumanoidGirl Bowie himself considered him a ripoff and hated him. Too bad really I don't see much similarity there and it's unfair to compare it to him entirely.

  • @andreaprodan Not a painful copy, a feels so good copy!

  • amazin to think this is over 30 years old..now 30 years on we have james blunt. what went wrong ?

  • AWSOME !!!! STILL KEEPING MUSIC REAL THANKS

  • after listening to this we have to wonder .....is music going backwards?

  • This is pretty bleeding edge music.

  • @niceguy34 Rhetorical question, I know!

  • 0:31 is he wearing high heals?

  • it was the 70's mate lol!

  • it was realised in 77' i beleive , and since he's miming to the original its technically 1977

  • I thought it was 1979.

  • Yes capricious it was 1979.

  • yep , I thought they were winkle pickers , but nope high heals xD

  • this was still the 70's

  • Is he a scientologist? Does someone know?

Owns no "even in doubt" cromosome

  • 80 s truly an awesome era wish i was still there loved them all

  • ditto, dude. loved it!!!!

  • god is it really 30 year's ago since ower freind's electric.

  • Replicas is nearly 30 years old, should be a public holiday in my opinion!!

  • I agree euth

  • Memories!

  • Numan still rocks after 30 years!!! Wooooooooh!

  • liverpoolscottish, well said personally i think the best years were from 76 to 86

  • Gary Newman was definitely a pioneer & broke new ground. Where are the pioneers today? They seem to be sadly lacking. The late 70's & early 80's was a great period for music.

  • No relation to Paul Newman though.........

  • I thought it was Numan, because Newman is the game designer of Gmod.

  • yh its numan not newman

  • Nothing as good as Numan has ever graced this planet since...

  • I like Gary Numan.

I think he owes a bit to David Bowie...

    took Ziggy to another level?

  • Yes, Numan "out-bowied" Bowie in 1979 but in 1980 Bowie lept back to the forfront with Number 1 Smash Hit, "Ashes to Ashes".......

  • amazing performance..love the song

  • the great thing about gary numan is that hes a musician and hes got a poilets licence!

    Mighty Boosh FTW

    Gary Numan = Awesome

  • WHATS A POILETS LICENCE MATE?

  • a licence that lets you fly a plane....

  • ah a 'POILET' licence

a cross between a toilet and pilot

'flush before you fly' is their motto

  • LMFAO

I heard that Poilet licences are now banned due to the smell. Poor Gary can't fly now. =[

  • Lmao, at first I thought you misspelled police!

  • His original version is way better then Sugababes!

  • He is an amazing pioneer...Nothing like this nowerdays. GARY ROCKS!

  • I like this guy-I like him 'cus he can fly a plane.

  • That era gave way to such creation in music. Was SOOOO lucky to grow up in that time! Fab track!

  • Tell me about it,I agree

  • he,s around 5`10.the 10 inches is his cock.lol.
