This guys is really an anachronism.

No society refused to plan for the future, especially the Aluetians who were subject to seasonal variations that would not permit life without storing provisions during the dark cold winter.

The 'cap in hand' image of the savage comes from peoples whose social structures were destroyed by conquering Europeans, and who, being reduced to serfdom, could no longer provide for themselves since they no longer owned the means of their own production.

if you want to download the audio books ( in case you have no many or no place to buy it) you have to download utorent or bitorent ...and type on google the title, follow the word " torrent "... or maybe you cant still find it on piratebay

I have read all 11 books in the series many times. It should be required reading in all high school history classes. Unfortunately, most high schools do not teach history any longer. I began reading them as a 12 year old. Completed my first reading by age 15. I was told by a high school history teacher that his 17 and 18 year olds would not be able to understand it becauseof their limited reading skills and lack of historical background. It is sad that our public schools are so pathetic.
