  • They play chess games with us and beat us, whats next ? I hope we can controll those machines before they take controll of us.

  • @TheNameTooSexyToShow i feel sarcasm in ur comment :O XD

  • magnus carlsen has a higher FIDE rating than kasparov

  • @SmashApple90 No he actually doesn't, in terms of record. Magnus has a record of 2835, while Kasparov still has the record with 2851. However, Magnus seems very able to beat this record in 2012 or 2013

  • Kasparov is not Genius!

  • @bumtaksi Eat Popcorn!

  • @thula209999 you eat my dick fucking bitch!

  • full loser, full loser loop? video damaged.

  • Enjoyed this film. I don't trust IBM. Kasparov asked for the printouts of the analysis and they wouldn't allow it.

  • I have the explanation ghosts is time to call the ghost busters

  • Despite all the controversies and the Kasparov's disputes of the match, IBM immediately dismantled Deep Blue and did not open the machine and its software for auditing, to validate, if at that time, a computer is already capable of calculating positional advantage and thus making positional moves.

As a programmer and a lover of the game of chess, I believed that G. Kasparov was never defeated by a machine nor Deep Blue in 1997.

But it doesn't mean that he could not be defeated now (2011).

  • Machines will beat us. They don't have human error

  • 1:12, who is the fuck is this?

  • @xdeiri

The Turk, a fake automaton chess player

  • IBM sucked...

  • @OleMarUlberg Remenber me the discussion Juggernaut vs The Blob xD

  • "Forget the $300,000, the future of humanity is on the line... Now the weather."

  • F**k the Machine! Vivat Kasparov!

  • The mask at 1:10 is actually meant to be the computer as a living human, folks.

  • has anyone ever gone undefeated at this game?

  • I lost to a Lvl 9 Brawl bot and I quitted.

  • Kasparov gave up.

...and that was the beginning of the Machine Empire.

  • don't you just love how a guy gets all worked up over a game of chess?

  • The programmar changed the code so that Deep blue wouldn't fall for his tricks lol...

  • @K4inan LOL Just-In-Time Compiler LOL XD

  • @JimmyJohanes LOL and XD? What in the world are you talking about, stop taking LSD for god sake.

  • @K4inan sok kali kaw, mentang2 org bule

  • This looks awesome.

  • @Gonadsoo It is a pretty good documentary, don't get tricked by imdb ratings for instance.

  • now the weather : )

  • @venato75 you lose!

  • Kasparov is still undefeated

  • @vdynamic He lost to kramnik in 2000

  • Today chess programs like Rybka can beat the greatest grandmasters routinely!

  • I was a child when happen this spectacular match. Kasparov was defeated by deep blue in 6 games (Kasparov: 1, Deep Blue: 2). The another games were draws.

I believe and want so much a rematch Kasparov vs Deep Blue maybe in 2010.

  • @MegamanLegacy i don't think it will happend. IBM declined the proposition of remach and ended deep blue program after the match.

Deep blue is definitly the winner.

  • @venato75 no, its a 1-1 draw due to 1996, which everyone forgets!!

  • what are you talking about? That was a 2-1 and deep blue won... in 1997

  • @venato75

Kasparov played Deep blue in 1996 as well.....

  • i know... -.-

and it end innnnn 1997!!!! with the 6 game that deep blue won

and i still don't get what you are talking about...

  • @venato75 you said deep blue is definitely the winner. Its not, kasparov won 1996 deep blue won 1997. Overall, kasparov won more games and they are equal in matches won.

  • O.O

    Ok: game1 kasparov won

    game 2 deep blue won

    game 3 to 5: draw

    game 6 deep blue won

wtf?? we don't care about the date you stupid...

Deep blue is OFFICIALY the winner, i didn't decided you silly

  • @venato75 Your clearly very knew to chess. You have no concept of the difference between games and matches. Kasparov and deep blue are tied 1-1 in matches, and it is lifetime matches that are used as the judge. You are a fool

  • you have to download it off the NET

  • I would like to see this documentary. Its here on youtube but its dubbed into Spanish. Where can i download this film in English? And it doesnt really help when there are lots of films named Game Over.

  • did you find out? Ive been trying to find it :(.

  • Yeah, user Chrisroberts27 has uploaded it.

  • @realdeal117 If you haven't yet seen this, I will be uploading it very soon in several parts

  • There will come a time perhaps in our lifetime where computers can out perform the human brain. This is only a small taste of what is to come. Just remember though that the computer is man-made therefore if programmed correctly will be able to "co-exist" with all living things respectfully. The time has come to make a decision about your "faith". At the time of Singularity, do you put faith in god or faith in humanity?

  • lol......how...um..lol

  • Yep you are right. Someday these machines will out smart all of hunmanity, Have you seen the Terminator movies. Yep...!

  • @SniperShot891 Those terminators are just the tip of the Ice berg. We would have something more along the lines of sonny from I, ROBOT.

  • @SniperShot891 Those terminators are just the tip of the Ice berg. We would have something more along the lines of sonny from I, ROBOT.

  • but computers will always lack that tendency to ignore chances, take risks and miscalculate like the human brain.

since they go by an algorithm, their moves can always be predicted (if the human brain can go that far).

human moves depend on miscalculation, overlooking opportunities and its own interpretation of the situation of the game.

although a computer can beat a human in a game of chess, it can never match the greatest computer ever made, by God/Nature/Evolution - the human brain.

  • If you knew the game of chess then you would know it is a game of EXACTLY what you said..(ignore chances, taking risks and miscalculate) and that is why Kasporov didn't take the loss very well. if man is an extension of god and the computer is the extension of man, who are you to say that the computer is not an extension of god?

  • @binoyrakesh Exactly. In order for a machine to evolve beyond the point of its creator in my opinion it must develop sentience. It must develop the ability to change its programmed algorithms, knowledge, etc. It must evolve just as we do, taking every new experience and adding it to our existing experiences to create something new. Is it possible? Sure. In the future who knows what will happen. But you must ask the question - if a machine becomes sentient, is it still a machine?

  • @brotherluke1 The first super computer that can perform more computanional proccesses than the human brain will be made as of 2013. It may not be able to hold a conversation or be able to think the way we do, because the software just wouldn't be made at that time. Scientist predict that by 2023 a supercomputer will be able to out think the human race in terms of computational power.

  • @brotherluke1

personally I think faith in either is a terrible idea they both have a history of failing people when they nee them most.

  • fischer #1

    kasparov #2

  • Agreed! 100%!

  • No computer plays this.

  • nothing is unbeatable

  • This game was stupid. All they did was use a very powerful computer to check their moves several places in advance and then chose the best move. The computer itself did very little thinking.

  • the machine beat him, get over it. its actually really simple stuff, just look up;

    minimax (utility algorithm)

    alpha - beta pruning

    RBFS (search algorithm)

  • They cheated him, Kasbarov can beat anyone and anything if they play it fair.

  • IBM is a liar. Someone or maybe some men were behind that computer. There was a move on game 2 that was impossible for a computer. It took more than 10 minutes to find tha answer.

The true is that the PC didn't find the good move...

Many people are convinced that ther was human intervention. I also belive that.

  • Then Kasparov wouldn't be the greatest chess player, now would he?

  • Sure he would be, a human and computer combo can beat anything... even a master (somoneone that kasparov would win 90% of the time against) to go with the computer and it would be unbeatable.

  • is this a real movie ?

  • nvm yes it is

  • exciting

  • Its a very nice video.
