Do you have your graphics setting set on low? That's how it's set when you install it. Just change it to medium/high, depending on what your computer can take. I thought it was pretty weird too.
Goddammit!!! Why can't spore allow you to choose where the head mechanics take place!??! That and allowing the legs/arms you used as hair to be blue, she would be perfect...
