  • so i got myself to the right directory nd all, but i cant seem to get to [edit helloworld.py]. Plus my command promt window is not shown as "cmd.exe"...any solutions? /:

  • @Kazzaa11 you could try command.com and just try typing :

    edit

    followed by enter if the editor doesnt load (the basic msdos editor) you could use word pad or if you're running linux gedit does some really nice syntax highlighting

  • Would Python be useful for using in conjunction with PowerShell? Just curious; I know nothing about Python.

  • at 4:05 in the video u run through the keys so fast i cant see how you get back to the cmd from the dos editer

  • @madchops67 press alt+f then press x to exit msedit you can also press alt+f then press s to save if you look in the file menu all the letters that appear underlined are shortcut keys if you hold down alt from the main edit screen the menu items will become underlined press the appropriate key to drop down the menu .... if you need any extra help in edit press f1 ;0) (or look under the help menu)

  • @xXpoZeDGaMiNGx hay dude sounds like you're not in the right directory type : c: [press enter] cd\ [press enter] dir [press enter] ^^ now you should see a list of all the directories in your c:\ ... look for the python folder then type cd\TheNameOfYourPythonDir [press enter] python [press enter] ^^ you should now be in pythons interactive mode ;0) heope this helps regards Tea
