  • Try the last part of my video where I force the computer to learn a new resistor.

  • we had to change the ecm in our 99 Monte Carlo cause of a lightning strike now it will not turn over we think vats is the problem but we were wondering if you had any other suggestions or if theirs just no hope (gauges, warning lights, lights and the fuel pump activate when we turn the key )

  • First, You need to get the cars existing resistance, Once you have it you put that same value resistor in there (on the car side of the yellow wire) I just invested in a HD camera so the close ups will get better btw...

  • close ups of the parts might help.. if one can see what u r talking about it helps to figure out what u r doing....beginning at 10:14 what resistor do u attach to the yellow wire ?? does it matter or will the computer adjust to whatever value of the resistor ?

  • Best advise I have for that is try spiking the system like the end of my video explains, If that dont work all you can do is replace the bcm with the one where the motor came from our call a locksmith with a scan tool to reprogram the bcm, Theres still hope for you

  • What do you do if you have no key we are doing a motor swap took a 305 t.p.i from a crashed 92 trans am gta and put it in a 87 we have no key and were stuck on the build now any help would be great email is bobkellymx3@gmail.com

  • Did you put the matching resistor value between that cut yellow (engine side) and the black?

  • I cut the yellow wire, but the car won't even crank to reset it for 30 mins what do I do?

  • how can you disable vats all together?

  • Do the part of the video where I illustrate cutting the 2 white wires (vats only) and place the same resistor value thats in your ket. thats it.

  • All you need to do (on vats only, not passlock) is cut the 2 white wires off the steering column and put a resistor in there (on the bcm side) that has the same value as your key. and thats it.

  • just follow my instructions in this video to get rid of that headache real quick

  • my 99 gmc suburban has a anti theft security system that keep killing my engine how can i disalarm it

  • i try the last method on a lumina but it wont start.if i jump the relay it will start but the stall HELP I HAVE TO TAKE MY KID TO SCHOOL AND HAVE NO MONEY

  • Chances are you didnt let leave the key on long enough to learn the new resistor value. Slow it down and give the car a chance to relearn the r code

  • @TheLessco Thanks going to give it a try!

  • Good luck

  • @TheLessco So this overrides the whole system therefore I can use my remote start?

  • what if you dont have the original key for a reference?

  • @roro879 then I would do the last section where yoy relearn the system

  • @TheLessco to late,took it to dealer

  • Do the last part of the vid where you relearn the bcm a new code, its a winner

  • can you help me with my wifes saturn? its very dangerious so please any help would be great. 2001 L200

  • If youre unfamiliar with this and you dont mind tying the car up, you may want to try the last resort at the end of my video, its the easies way out for a novice. If that doesnt work out you may want to invest in the ib-plxr or the ib-gmbp / db-pass23a I sell on the website

  • its lesscoelectronics . com btw

  • Ive done it many time smyself, It works, Best of luck

  • I hope this works! I can't do it myself but hoping to find some one who has the ability. I think GM should replace their junk parts for free! How can they be allowed to get away with making such defective parts? I think all of us (and there seems to be a multitude of us) should start a class action law suit! These systems are made to last only 7 years and cost a small fortune to replace only to be capable of failing again! That's unacceptable to me!

  • @kysweet56

I know, I feel your pain

  • Per the end of the video via the permanent disable of the passlock 1, I can use ANY resistance? My winter car's tumbler is shot and I just disconnected the ignition switch and using that. I have NO way to turn the key in the ignition so that's out of the question. This video is the first instance I've seen with that trick. if this doesn't work how screwed will I be? Thanks!

  • @sr20kschmitz

Ive done it many times, its a winner every time

  • totally awesome video, worked like a charm! i used a 50 ohm resistor, a 2 pack was like 2 bucks at radio shack, again, awesome video great detail and instruction!

  • @SkeeterMcgeerm

    Youre very welcome

  • @SkeeterMcgeerm did you used the last method on the video or the method with the relay?

  • @MrHdradeon I used the final method, the vehicle I did this with made all kinds of funy sounds and changed the clock on the radio rapidly etc for the 30 minutes that I left the key in the on position. I then turned the key to off and tried to start it and it worked just like nothing was ever wrong. Since this fix was implemented I have had no problems what so ever.

  • Success! Thats fantastic, Good for you buddy!

  • what if i lost my key?

  • Then relearn the bcm, its the last section of the vid, good luck

  • Awesome video. What method do you use for overriding rf based transponder units without the key?

  • @lamborghinimeany

I have a few ways, theres a video on here I call cheap transponder bypass, which is the el cheapo method, Here is the link: youtube.com/watch?v=X07aa5mYEZk

or you could buy a passlock3 digital bypass from us and spend 40-50.00 for an even easire solution...

my site is lesscoelectronics good luck

  • wow, I can't believe there are no comments for this!!! Does this info work for a Saturn, everyone keeps saying Saturn needs repaired by GM. For the past 10 months or so, approx. once a month my Saturn won't start. Wait 5-10 minutes and it starts fine, the last month or so it has accelerated to once a week. There is another video from a guy who just CUT the white wire, and many responses say it works just fine. I am just afraid of really damaging my car...but we are financially DESTITUTE!

  • Here is the answer to all your problems, youtube.com/watch?v=A-XJGCOKKYY
