tax policy is part of the budget not a side note to it. health care is new spending and therefore should be passed in a bill like a new spending. if obama wanted to readjust tax policy via the annual budget its completely appropriate. its not appropriate to allocate new spending via the budget for something like health care when we're already spending more than any other civilized nation for health care.

The RIGHT to an abortion is what is at issue. Women have a RIGHT to CHOOSE to have an abortion, OR NOT. I reiterate: it's not abortion itself but the right to choose to have one that is at issue.
Neo-cons believe in "no abortion ever for anyone" but support the death penalty and endless oil war. This is an even more ultimate-er hypocrisy.

That's a false analogy. I believe people should have the choice. I believe in self-reliance and self-government, whenever possible. I think with more sex-ed in schools, abortion rates will drop. I believe in informing people, which makes them stronger, rather than scaring them into compliance, which makes them weaker. I'm sure you agree that allowing people to exercise their rights is better than taking them away. History has proven, over and over, that denying people choices fails every time.

There is no scientific proof that life begins at conception...The good book states that God breathed the breath of life through Adam's nostrils AFTER her was formed from the earth....btw.... a fetus CAN'T breath through the nose....so if you wanna go by the bible...Life begins at birth....not in the womb at all....Thinkin' maybe a book written thousands of years ago by MAN shouldn't dictate our laws...

I can't prove when a soul enters a body...just as you can't....which is why this should NOT be an issue for the courts. As SCIENCE stands now, a fetus is an extension of the mother...proven fact should be the deciding factor here as far as our laws are concerned. How is running a "christian" based government different from what we have bee fighting against over seas? It's religion taking over government and oppressing the rights of ALL it's citizens. I can see that point of view. But in a lot of cases when the mother has passed HIV down to the kid, or the kid's not going to have good parents, it's sometimes best for the kid to have the abortion. It depends on the circumstances.

If you have HIV, why are u having unprotected sex? as well, im not against abortion when the mother is at risk, or if the baby is at risk- those situations are dire and sometimes theres no choice. but, when you have young girls, unwed women who know they can simply have an abortion, you are essentially promoting unprotected/unsafe sex. im not knocking people who have sex, but we are becoming a dumber society because we have all these bailouts or 'lifelines'.

nba2020, if you didn't already freaking know, pro-choicers, and anyone who knows anything about science, typically state that killing implies the taking of a coherent life, and a fetus is definitely not that--any more than my kidney is a coherent life, or any other cluster of cells in my body. Therefore, killing is a non-issue. PLUS, the idea isn't whether or not abortion is good; the issue at hand is a woman's right to CHOOSE for herself.
