It's strange. I have Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (and the Christmas edition too), and I remember being able to play as the yellow girl rabbit. But I also remember that sometimes when I couldn't.

@tuore You can play as the girl in the added to Jazz jackrabbit 2, called "the secret files"

But it won't run right if you have title set mods on or something.

Funny but wikipedia doesn't even have info on the xmas edition or the secret files....

How did you kill the last boss so fast? What's the technique you used?

at start, freeze him, so you can get close and do the down+attack special move repetitively while he is on entering animation. It will take him the first "life".

When he is doing the transformation or is already transformed into dragon, freeze him and it's done.

Boss energy bars have 2 different views: weapons view are a full bar, corporal bar is half of weapons one. It's supposed to be the same energy, but... There is a bug.

If last hit on first live of the boss is done with corporal attack, then, the "corporal" bar will not be refilled as the weapons bar is. Freezing him before any attack while he is dragon will show that bar. Well, it's zero, so... ;)

Any other attack will make the correspondence between both bars

If you explore the editor and the levels files you find that some features were never applied. For example warps to bonus hidden levels. I used it on my home cooked levels.. It looks like unfinished features.

Well, I never plaid the expansions :(, I don't know if they had fixed some stuff.

I only got stuck a few times of all the times I plaid it

It may be a rip-off in the sense that it plays similarly and obviously drew some inspiration from the Sonic games, but it is NOT a rip-off in the sense that it seems your implying, which is that the game sucks.
