  • I'm sorry ...

Good video but NEVER use glue.

Sometimes u can't be cheap if u want good results.

I spent 60$ on begining tools. And I still need to shop. I'll deff make a video o. Tools and cheap ways.

  • lol i thought that the glue bottel waz a clay charm:)

  • lol i thought that ht

  • Don't go cheap use real glaze its like 4.00 really never use glue or clear nail polish

  • @TheCrazytiime its doesnt matter if you go cheap!u can just freakn easilly use a thick coat of a glossy basecoat or clear nail polish!!it aint mateer.

  • Glue will become mushy when the piece gets wet. I NEVER recommend using Glue.

  • I use clear nail polish but glue works 2.

  • premo is made by sculpey. la doll or grace or hearty are other brands. tho grace and hearty are air dry clays. they work all the same, with a smidge of shrinkage from drying.

  • @ChiiSan09 thanks!

  • @monktvshow np hun! thanks for the tips..

  • glue starts chipping the same happens with nail polish :\ if you don't like your charms then yeah you can use glue it is not the same as glaze...

  • Nail polish also works as well as glue

  • @Craftingful cool, thanks

  • i tried using scissors and it made sort of like a pointy cut <) like this and what kind of pencil should i use

  • @MrSnowcone5 if you want to use a pencil for a rolling pin, I suggest one that is round, unlike Ticonderoga.

  • hi! i tried elmer's clear school glue. i'm glad that my charms are sticky but they aren't shiny either. what would u suggest? please answer soon. :)

  • @erickav808 a lot of times, rubbing them lightly with a cloth can help get them shinier. It has worked for me before.

  • @monktvshow ah, ok, thanks. :) that helps me a bunch! :D i usually use triple thick glaze but it get very irritated with the fact that it feels sticky and lint always gets stuck in there. so i'm looking for lots of alternatives. would u happen to know any other glazes i can try that don't dry sticky?

  • @erickav808 sculpey glaze is found to be non-sticky on the clay and it comes in gloss and satin finishes. You thin it slightly with water and don't put thick coats. hope that was helpful :)

  • @monktvshow that actually does help. :) thanks. i've been buying triple thick only because it was affordable and it came in a big bottle. i'll try out the sculpey glaze, tho. Thanks!

  • dont be mean people....

  • the glue does not work it makes it all white and gross you ruined my best creation!!!!

  • @oshaqs im sorry, what kind of glue did you use? Maybe you put too thick a layer on? Most glues will work but I am truly sorry that my suggestions ruined your work.

  • @oshaqs just use sculpey glaze(gloss and satin) its only $3 and it last a very long time, or clear nail polish

  • Can we also use a varnish for wood? HAHA

  • Seriously? A glue?!! :O

  • @mswasted28 Yeah, it totally works! Thanks for watching.

  • @TheScript55 I am not sure which brand is the least expensive but I know that for a 2 oz pack of Scupley III clay, its $1. The only brands I would get though are Sculpey III, Fimo, and/or Primo

  • nice tips!! and btw, i love monk! :)

  • @FashionLove03 thank you!

  • how the hell do i change the blade on my craft knife! i've never understood how to do this i bet its something really simple and i'm being slow about it. but its not the one with the screw top like in this video. its the one where there a little rectangle in the middle of the blacde does that make sense. ?

  • @Sillilesshells What company is your knife from?

  • @monktvshow *slaps head* i'm such an idiot i just looked at it now and it properly iss an unscrewy one . but i just panicked bceause the ones i discribed i don't know how to do but i'll stay with this knife for now :)

  • @Sillilesshells haha, nice one

  • how do you se the glue I'm new to this sorry I REALLY LOVED THESE TIPS THANK YOU!! how do you use glaze?

  • @Bunnychanx3 you can brush it on or dip the creation in the glaze. Only use glaze after baking though, thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @monktvshow but.... if the product meets water.. it will get sticky!

  • @rikoi yes, that is a problem, but it usually doesn't meet water!

  • Thanks so much!

  • monktvshow, really want to start making clay charms, but I am so new to it and don't know where to start or what to buy....Is there a book guide besides your awesome videos??? Can you help me start??? Also, is it better to have an extra oven to bake the clay?

  • @helenita05 I have a kids clay book called "Create Anything With Clay" by Sherri Haab and Laura Torres that shows simple clay creations that you can make easily. You can bake your clay in a regular oven, though I do have a small oven specifically for clay. I can totally help you start!

  • @monktvshow WOW, I would really appreciate your help, thanks for your tips, help and advice in advance because I really want to start in clay creations.!

  • @helenita05 how can I help?

  • @Msleilei101 no, it can be just regular glue but you have to put a thin layer of it on.
