@marineman825 the same way the m4 is not the same as an m16. they are all just products of the base AR-15 model.

m4- Mid range

m16- Mid to Long range

and the SR-25 (though it is made from a completely different company) is a DMR version of the AR-15

so it's (mainly) for long range but can be used for mid as well.

so basically the answer to your original question is kinda yes, mostly no.

XM110 is more update version and it is used by US army after tested Sr25 by Seal

@acdcnumber1fan100 the m110 is ambidextrous as in the fire controls, magazine release, and bolt catch are accessible on each side of the rifle. As well, the back plate on the stock is adjustable/extend able. As well, in the real steel, the recoil was reduced and the barrel was upgraded in some way, with a better gas release system.

@acdcnumber1fan Yes and no, Knight's SR 25, mk11 mod 0, xm110, m110 sass/ dmr etc. are all based on the ar 10 .308(7.62x51) platform by Eugene Stoner. Knight's Armament maximized parts commonality with the ar15. The m110 in use now has KAC'S enhanced match grade parts and a redesigned rail system,a buttstock hand-tightening knob, sling swivel sockets, a double sided bolt catch, and a button on the folding front sight to allow it to be locked into position.

@rane2716 JG's don have the greatest internals, they are mostly Tokyo Marui clones, so no they probably aren't 11.1v ready, most airsoft guns aren't LiPoly ready unless you upgrade to reinforced internals, message me on anything Airsoft :-)
