I just can't stand all this lane stuff. It's pork barrel. Saw it in the States, see it here in France. Make people quit driving cars! My spouse is French & is so sorry he didn't start carpooling years earlier! We are all for towns & cities here being for foot traffic only, though the bike rental thing is not going very well. Public transportation & horses & donkeys, sez I! Anyone remember Mayor Koch in NYC and the 6th Avenue bike lane? FAIL. Koch was great in general, however.

Did they say they were from the "Occupy movement"? Perhaps they are not.

Because it looks just like a common protest ...that is happening during the occupy movement. Why call them occupiers?

1) I add here that i go almost daily at Occupy Montreal to co-animate a workshop on economic education. I do this because i share common problems with them. The fractional reserve system and private banks monopoly for instances. I'm not anti-capitalist, i'm no commie....
