Alloytecs are actually built in many countries. Its a quad-cam v6 and has been used in commodores since 2004. Theres nothing wrong with commodores-they are not a supercar, they are not a drift car, a rally car or a drag car but are capable of doing a damn fine job at them. if a commodore can keep up with a lamborgini, that says something about the lambo, not the commodore. Ecotecs r used in buicks but are just another (Good) GM engine. As for picking on the v8 well ... you stick with VTEC

Problem with the engines holden use is that they have 2 valves per cylinder (as far as i can remember, I dont know about ve). whereas the fords have 4 valves per cylinder. yet they all produce around the same kind of power. Once holden does upgrade, (and they really do need to, there quite old fashioned ;P) the engines will be out of league of these perfectly-equipped-but-ridicul­ously-underpowered lame ass ford engines.
