I've gotten to 3.4GHz on my E5300 on stock voltage, and some OEM cooler master fan at 55c under moderate load, through nVIDIA control panel (nforce 620i chipset)
@elias1995ish you need to change to voltage and stress test i use prime 95 for my stress tests and atm il stress testing this cpu at 3ghz on the standard voltage. your ram might be being overclocked to high aswell to make sure its running at about the correct sttock speed for reliable stress tests. you will need to keeep an eye on the temps aswell use everest or speedfan somthing like that
@elias1995ish no problem mine idles about the same, mines on 3.2ghz , normal voltage x13 multiplyer and 247 mhz bus, it seems fairly stable atm but im gona be runing test with prime 95 for at least 2 hours preferably 6 hours is good but im goin to test with a variety of games aswell. i have my main pc on a phenom II x4 965 @ 4ghz and it took me like 2 weeks to fine tune it. but these e5300 are pretty easy to oc
@madbab00n I heard that u have to stress test for about 24 hours to make it stable , but I still have the same crash problems in games at 231x13 which makes it 3ghz i want to oc my cpu to get higher fps in gta IV (episodes from liberty city) I get 20 fps which is quite laggy , I still don't know what to do with the voltage ! Do I keep it auto ?? and what did you say about overclocking my ram ? is there any tutorial anywhere ?:S
@elias1995ish well i normaly stress test for about 2 hours and if it seems stable i oc a bit more and a bit more... then when i get it to the desired level i stress test for 6-8 hours (but stress testing alone wont be enouh) i dont know how many more fps you will get from ocing a cpu tho... what graphics card do you have? turn voltage 2 whatever the normal setting is which should be 1.248v ive moved my cpu upto 3.2 now and i dont want to go to much higher. x13 247 mhz bus and my max temps are 47
@madbab00n I know that to increase fps is the GPU's job not cpu , but gta IV is a cpu demanded game requires a quad core for minimum requirements , I have nvidia geforce 9600gt 1gb ddr3 upgrading to gtx 460 1gb soon :D
@elias1995ish yeah i think that you would need a cpu uprade if you are thinking of getting a new graphics card aswell these cpus are ok but theres not enought memory on them on my main pc i have phenom x4 @ 4ghz and a gtx 260 running really overclocked but stable and good temps and i only get 44-55 fps on gta

@madbab00n 44-55 fps is awesome for gta IV :p yeah I know E5300 will bottleneck my new gtx 460
so I think I'll get a core 2 duo E8400 3.0ghz and overclock it ;) since my motherboard doesn't support a quad core :s it's ASROCK n73-S
