The only good thing I can see about this that distinguishes it from a good 3DTV is SimulView. That's cool and all, but the fact that this display isn't that big is a major failure. Sony, please introduce larger (maybe up to 55") models of this.

hm dude the tech behind it is not all that amazing...

its just a 3D image but instead of showing each eye a different picture, it shows each person a different one. What they dont tell you is that using this technique you lose half the screen resolution (1080p turn into 540p) and considerring most PS3 games run in 720p it goes as low as 360p.

@riedstep its works similar to how 3D works, but instead of switching between left and right images, it switches between player 1 & player 2 images. So you don't get 3D, but you still get awesomeness at about 120hz, normally the TV runs at 240hz, but in 3D or simulview, it splits.

This is really cool! however, my only complaint is why it has to be so small. It is advertised more as a TV, so why make it the size of a monitor? It also doesn't even have DVI or and AVI input, so your computer would also need to be using an hdmi cable, I know my doesn't have one. So, I hope they make bigger sizes. Or maybe other companies will start to make these bigger, and probably cheaper.

Will people stop baggin' on Microsoft? I will be the first to admit that I am a fanboy of Microsoft, but let's look at the comparison people are making.

Microsoft is a SOFTware machine. They can work miracles with programming (look at the codes for the kinect). The closest they get to actual hardware is the xbox, which is really good. As for Sony, they work with hardware, and the PS3 is overall meh. (PS2 was amazing).

MS can't do this because they don't do tvs (yet/maybe). So stop hatin' on 'em
