For me, it means just one thing – Mr.Holopainen is extremely talented composer and arranger, who is able to work with any king of singer, for he is able to find out arrangement, that originally fit perfectly even for Anette, so Nightwish for sure equals to Tuomas, not Tarja or Anette, or anyone who maybe will come to replace Anette.
Jesus fucking Christ! Anette is pretty much OK, when she sings songs from Dark Passion Play. But it seems to me that she is simply squealing like a pig sent to slaughter, when she tries to sing something from Tarja’s era. She totally ruined this song, and I wanted to impale my ears, when I listened to “Ever dream” by Anette for the first time.
Anette sounds simply marvelous. my only criticism is that she's trying to do maybe a little too much, but really, it's a small critique. She really does sound good. :) Shit, your camera gets good quality...@_@

people can tell whatever they want, annette cant perform live correctly. her voice doesnt fit with Nightwish, when i heard this, it not symphonic metal, there is no soul, no felling and i dont want to hum along with her! ok tarja wasnt a good band member, but annette cant sing in live. i will never go to a concert because of her. she is too high, but a deeper voice is needed sorry
and it's okay to have your own opinion. I've seen Anette live, and she's decent. Not exactly on pitch, and it's not that her voice doesn't match Symphonic Metal. (cause if you heard DPP it does perfectly) What makes Symphonic Metal, is not that classical music support. But the cinematic atmosphere that engulfs you when you listen to the music. The "alive" feeling that you get when you listen to the CD or your at the concert. Cause, once your there, you don't really care about anything else C:

She is a better alto, and that is a fact... and i doubt that the band regrets "getting rid" of Tarja. I was on this gig and It couldn't have been better. We were witnessing a professional show after 150 + performances. The atmosphere they created this evening was phenomenal combination of charisma and down to earth attitude. and it's okay to have your own opinion. I've seen Anette live, and she's decent. Not exactly on pitch, and it's not that her voice doesn't match Symphonic Metal. (cause if you heard DPP it does perfectly) What makes Symphonic Metal, is not that classical music support. But the cinematic atmosphere that engulfs you when you listen to the music. Tarja hit high notes? you must not know what high notes are...I love Tarja, but she is a terrible soprano. She is a better alto, and that is a fact... and i doubt that the band regrets "getting rid" of Tarja. You don't have a band member to "hit high notes" you have a band member to be a band member, to enjoy being around them, and Tarja wasn't being a good band member.
If you miss Tarja, don't complain about it on the newer videos.

i think people are looking at this situation (which really needs to drop, it's been 4 years now) they see this whole "new singer singing the old songs" situation with the glass half empty. Don't think about it as, "they didn't feel the same" think of it as: "so this is how they sound NOW!" both singers are irreplaceable. I don't hate Anette, I just don't like her voice, and find that the band performs at a subpar level since she's joined the band.
It was a mistake to hire her, in fact, it was an even bigger mistake to get rid of Tarja in the first place.

The atmosphere they created this evening was phenomenal combination of charisma and down to earth attitude. I think Anette is very good, Tarja was good too, but her behavior was the reason she got kicked out of the band, she could still be on the band, it's only and ONLY her and his husband's fault why she isn't anymore.

Even though Tuomas works ridiculously fast on the songs, myself and many others doubt that it would come out that early. There is a much higher chance it will come out in early 2011.

I wish they played Dead boy's poem, I love the solo, but It was a great set list. And now we don't going see nightwish for two years :O !!!

I bet you if we let all the Nightwish fans vote in a poll of whether Tarja or Anette is better. Tarja would win. Primarialy because Tarja kicks ass and know how to sing unlike Anette who is simply in my opinion not even close to having the same sound as Tarja.
