Anyone dissing Gabbert doesnt know football, the reason I say that is who does Jacksonville have at wideout? Jarrett Dilliard? Kassim Osgood the special teamer at SD? Brian Robiskie who lost to Massaquoi in the wr battle in Cleveland? I liked Gabbert coming out of the draft, i never expected him to be as bad as he is. The Jaguars need to get a true #1 WR to help him out as much as possible. The Jaguars would have been better off with the 4-5th rounder in TJ. Yates. That would have been a great value pick, get the same kind of talent with your 4th or 5th rounder and you neevr would of drafted GABBERT with the 10#............... shoulda woulda, coulda!

He has one of the best WR in the league , and also a VERY great Running Game to help him .. every QB could win with that team. Blaine Gabbert = Brady Quinn, both are touted to be potential No. 1 overall picks, both slip in the draft to shitty teams (Cleveland & Jacksonville), both put up QB ratings in the 60s when they were starters, both around 6ft 3, both around 230lbs, both have 1:1 TD:INT ratios.

Unless Gabbert can improve, which is unlikely seeing as he has no WRs, he'll end up like Quinn.

He needs to stop being scared of getting sacked, and make even more loss of yards by trying to escape it. Second, get him some receivers. The Jags have receivers that are probably 5th string if started on any other team.

Gabbert was not even supposed to play this season. that is why he was third on the depth chart at the start of the pre-season. Gabbert has no receivers and his guards are pitiful. That combined with an inexperienced rookie QB is a recipe for disaster. Gabbert is too early in his career to be considered a "bust."

My buddies and I were/ are huge David Garrard fans (he thrived under a horrible coach in Jack Del Rio) so I really hope this kid can show us something. Hopefully, he works his tail off to GET BETTER in the offseason, otherwise the Jacksonville Jaguars become the Los Angeles Jaguars come 2014.

Just knocked off an undefeated team at home. The Jags just need to draft Blackmon or Jeffery in the first round next yr and they'll be good.

@jorourke05 The 2nd and 3rd years for a QB matter more than their 1st year. How well did guys like Peyton Manning, John Elway and Troy Aikman fair in their 1st year? Another comparison could be Rick Mirer and Drew Bledsoe. Mirer had a better 1st year, but Bledsoe went on to have a better career. More recently, look at Matt Ryan: good 1st year, poor 2nd year, really good 3rd year.

Simply put, you never know right away if a QB is going to be the franchise. 3 years is the ideal wait, IMO.
