Laraque wouldn't trade punches with tough fighters. As soon as they started connecting, he'd hug and wrestle. People think that a takedown is a win. Not unless you put him down with a punch. Not that he wasn't a force to be reckoned with for smaller guys, but I've seen tougher.
@crihabs27 Now, one thing...If you take a guy down or hug until the refs break it up, I call that a loss because, to me, that's like throwing in the towel; you don't have what it takes to finish the fight or know you won't win, so you forfeit. On that note, he's lost to a handful of guys. Not to take anything away from him, as he makes my top 5 when I consider effectiveness their primes, but he wasn't unbeaten. I'd say Probert, Kocur, Twist, Gillies, then Laraque.
Laraque is a good fighter in the NHL

Thumbs up if you stared at him through the entire video because you're just not used to seeing black people in the NHL.

2yrs. with Canadiens and only scored one goal and 5 pts.
5 goals in 4 years before that? Did anyone tell him what is hockey about?
All he did was spend time in the penalty box and allow critical power plays against his team.
Just another SeanAvery wannabe. At least Avery could score when winning was on edge.

You're an Idiot,
He plays his role.
Also, sean avery is useless at fighting,
Laraque has been around since before avery,
And he get more points than the other enforcers in the league.
When the whole NHL respects someone, it's with a reason.
