This is a stupid question. But why didn't the referee count to 10? Like sometimes in fights, a fighter gets knocked down and the ref starts to count to 10 and sometimes the ref immediately declares it a KO and stops the fight without counting.
Like how do they determine which fights have the fastest KOs if sometimes the ref counts and sometimes he doesn't?

Diaz was ranked no higher than No. 7 when Pacquiao fought him. That is why in todays boxing scene, having a lot of belts can have very little value. There are to many so called world champs per division. You have to know your boxing and do research in order to keep track of who the good fighters really are. Due to the scarcity of info. and the many boxing organizations claiming world champs per weight class, Its easy for a savvy promoter like Bob Arum to set up a lot of meaningless title fights.

Exactly !! Bob Arum is the reason the Mayweather fight did not go down. This fight was over when they signed it. Bob Arum speaks for Manny Pacquio, PERIOD. He is a puppet to Arum. That is why Floyd left him when he was climbing the ladder. Arum was taking half his money and still owes him millions from the Judah and Gotti fight. Floyd got rid of him and went on his own. Arum did not want this test, not Manny. Manny needs to make a move and get away from Arum who takes 27% of his earnings.
