  • I will sell her a crib made in USA for 399.00, such a deal...and by the way Man Made Global Warming is a SCAM!

The earth has been cycling thru climatic highs and lows all without MAN's influence. Do some more research into the SUN re: weather and climate. The United Nations Lies are all famous by now - please get a clue.

  • bullshit, wrong wrong wrong

you mearly deny the people in the sweatshops the ability to eat

  • The problem is that these people believe that the cost for the foreign "unsafe" product is justified and therefore are 'forced' to pay the incredibly inflated price of the domestic "safe" product. Want to solve this problem? Stop buying the garbage that you don't need! There are so many people out there crying and whining about debts and how broke they are and yet own a 46' plasma TV, a $3000 sofa, eat out 5 times a week, have a $35,000 car and are paying $80 / week in gas, etc. etc.

  • the most sustainable thing to do is make the crib yourself, out of scavenged building materials. Do It Yourself is the greatest investment. i appreciate Perkins for blowing the whistle, but not for recognizing the dangers of global capitalism.

  • By not buying that 200$ crib, you're depriving that "slave" from their wage. Thinking you can change the production (or the world) by boycotts is idealist.

  • Yeah great lets make these "investments" with our fiat money... the money is whats keeps people in sweat shops... and we are all aboard the citizenSHIP and our "Person" only has access to the type of money... wake up its deeper than just making Investments... keep thinking john, keep thinking. your message is half-assed.

  • Hello no! I choose the chinese slave labor. I love cheap electronics and cheap toys. Screw you guys, I'm going with red china!!!!

  • I would agree with this if I had a lot of money. I don't and wanting a Plasma TV I went to Walmart and was looking at the low end $500 tv and really couldn't afford that. Fortunely they had a customer return, just a tiny problem with the base & they had it for $260. I could afford that.

Point being is this is great to spend more if you have the luxury of excess money. I don't so I have to find the best deal I can.

  • You couldn't afford it in the first place, but 'wanted' a plasma TV from Walmart? Walmart is bringing down America like a plague...by simply giving the illusion to average folks that you 'need' that plasma TV. Walmart is a community killer.

  • Good point, but bad example. Over simplification to say that China doesn't produce quality; over simplification to say Chinese labourers are slaves. He then goes on to talk about the one community that's talking to each other. How does he think that is happening? That's happening because other people, not Jessica, are buying the Chinese made crib, and investing in getting the poor in China out of poverty.

  • He's right although this video is going to be bombarded by the conspiracy crowd as being eugenics propaganda.

  • CRAP!

  • As taxes should be looked upon as an investment.

  • do you no where our taxes go?

  • To reduce CO2, telecommunications companies should just concede to Apple (the competition is over); and put their efforts into green technologies. 2cd, stop celebrating the holidays (as if there were no tomorrow).

  • relax you guys take is way too much "stop celebrating the holidays (as if there were no tomorrow)" that is totally crazy

  • It is absolutely true that all around the world we are facing common challenges and that we need worldwide solidarity between human beings. However, shopping and consumer choices will not "save the world" and I thought Perkins would be above all the "smart shopping" mythology that we hear so much about these days.

  • @blackiron60 totally agree for those who can afford the expensive option ethical opion will be a choice, this satisfies the Mr 5% ethical man but what about the remaining 95% of ....coffee growers or crib makers etc? we need 100% ethical not 5%

    Perkins disapoints on this one

  • With an enormous amount of people struggling monetarily a $600 crib is never going to be a "choice". Many will have to be in line to purchase what "they" can afford. Very unfortunate as NAFTA has slammed America as no agreement ever has leaving them to purchase cheap goods with no ethical constraints. Copenhagen will serve to extract even what little wealth remains for not just American's but other's across the world.

Corrupt financial institutions endorse the GW scam. Who benefits really ?

  • You could have said the same thing about the Japanese or the Koreans, but they worked hard and made a better life for themselves. You are advocating to take their jobs away so they have nothing. Something is better than nothing. The only thing that you said that made sense had to do with overpopulation. The world is overpopulated and puts the human species at risk. Along with anything else we do to improve world conditions we have to reverse population growth.

  • He seems to be talking about an investement, not here and now, atleast thats what I took from this. Shun that behaviour now, and in 5-10-15 years down the road, there will be no chance for sweat shops to thrive. Of course this does seem optimistic, but there is nothing wrong with putting it out there.
