  • cool mandolin. How old is it? 50's?

  • it´s a Gibson A40 from aprox. 1960s

  • im trying to find the age of a one that i might get my hands on. It looks ALMOST just like yours, with the exception of the tailpiece. Does yours have a number stamps in the lower f-hole, under where the metal pickguard holder is? mine reads 7617 22. Im not quite sure of the age, and i was wondering how i could be sure.

  • Love it, I want a mandolin too...!

  • Play it like you live, Rene! -- Jim
