The Kaba was built initially by prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his son prophet Isma'il (Ishmael) pbutb but rebuilt during the days of the prophet Mohammed pbuh.

The Kaba is a gathering place for all muslims to come together in brother/sisterhood - a testament and reminder to the fact that all Muslims are one large family in faith. All muslims, no matter where they are on Earth, pray towards the Kaba again signifying unity and also glorifying Allah on Earth.
