Mec-Gar Magazine break down, cleaning, reassembly

I HAVE A MEC-GAR MAG THAT HAS BEEN MODED TO FIT 10 ROUNDS TO FOLLOW THE 10 ROUND MAGAZINE LAWS HERE IN OL' CALIFORNIA. IT DOESNT APPEAR THE HAVE THE ACCESS TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM PROTION TO BEGIN DISASEMBLY IN THAT IT IS PLATIC. WHAT TO DO?

Nice how to vid.. I just bought a mec gar for my 1911 and was having a hard time getting 8 in the mag. At about the 6th round it starts chirping and by the 8th its basically impossible to do. I stripped mine down and did similar as you in the video and I tried to get the 8th rd in and much easier !! I actually got it in quite easily.. Since it is my home defense weapon I'm going to let those 8 rounds just sit and break the spring in a bit.. I'm considering getting another mec gar mag for 1911.

@mixwell1983 How is the magazine now? Did it fix it? How many rounds have you fired after the cleaning? My Mecgar mag did the same thing.
