OU means overused. This were all the powerhouses are at. The pokemon who consistently do well.

UU means underused. Many Pokemon that were once OU go here. These pokemon used to do well, but thanks to new generations/new moves/strateties, they can't consistently do well against OU.

Pokemon of one tier go against the same tier, most of the time.

You can breed and catch the same pokemon for MONTHS and not have a pokemon with great IV's, great nature, and the right ability. You have to get VERY lucky in order for this to happen, but when it does, training is easy.

@revenge507 Let me help: Hidden Power attack and type are worked out with how much EVs (Effort Values) a Pokemon has. You can find the formula on Marriland. And Lucario takes damage because it has the Life Orb which increases damage done but it takes recoil with each attack.

You should definately utilised hippowdon way more in this match, even if you just switched it in after a poke died to cancel rain it could have really helped you out + hippowdon should easily be able to switch in on qwilfish and take an unboosted waterfall thus stopping the rain. Leaving it in like that on qwilfish was probably the main thing that cost you as he needed sandstorm gone permanently.

@SomeRandomAaron My thoughts is belly drum and substitute as well as a toxic orb. You already lose HP every turn from toxic, so why lower it even more with substitute and belly drum? Substitute has no point, you'll be outspeed most UU threats as it is. As for Belly Drum, you'll be able to destroy anyhing, but you'll only have about 4 turns of sweepage. Seeing as how you take damage beforehand as well, You even have less turns!
