I think it is pie in the sky ideas like this that keep me from getting a real job lol. Ok how much do I get paid for this?

I have been a freelancer for 15 years. My recommendation to anyone starting out in this line of work right now is to make sure you have good writing samples or clips.

I don't care what any book or article tells you. Clips and hard copy samples (ie actual magazines, newspapers) get you hired for jobs.

Also don't do what I was forced to do: start out as a fulltimer. I had to work full time because no other jobs were coming my way. Don't do it! Get another job and write part-time.
