  • Oh, of vourse there was a You Gotta Learn Your Rhythm and Blues.

  • Oh, of course, there was You Gotta Learn Your Rhyth and Blues.

  • The album Come See About Me is full of rocks. But you're both right. He's the top in any rhythm... Including classical. Johnny Mathis isn't also what one could call a rock and roll star and he's there (he deserves this and more). Anyway, rock included so many currents that it's hard to say what is and what isn't. The greatest melodist alive, that's what Neil is. We're lucky to have been raptured all these decades by his talent.

  • People, Neil Sedaka is a versatile musical genius; he can do it all, INCLUDING rock and roll. Just listen to his "I Go Ape", a chart hit in 1959 (it reached #42). This song is PURE rock and roll. Also, consider that Carole King, Run DMC, ABBA, Blondie, James Taylor, Al Green, Ray Charles, Simon & Garfunkle, et al (all great, but not necessarily rock performers) are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Let's give Neil his due!!

  • people ... you must be kidding... this is not Rock and Roll. This is pure Pop ... nothing wrong with it... but its not Rock.

  • @alienhuman

Ok, it's pop but this song influenced the rock generation a lot, let us say that The Beatles' shouldn't be in the R&R Fame Hall just because they did YESTERDAY!!! That's non sense!!! Still, there is not a Hall of Fame for Pop as far as I remember...

  • @betokkikke Agreed beto... Beatles took years to become rockers. Pure pop in the early years.

  • @alienhuman Rock and roll: Typical instruments Electric guitar, string bass or later bass guitar, drums, optional piano and saxophone, vocals. Pop music: Typical instruments Vocals • Electric guitar • Bass guitar • Drums • Keyboards • Acoustic guitar • Piano • Synthesizer • Drum machine • Sequencer • Sampler • Occasional use of various other instruments. Hmm... Yes, it is rock and roll.

  • the nicest song i've ever heard
