@masareti You will soon give up that with the insurance doubling & the fuel costs, i have had a car licence & been driving a car none stop since 1996 my last car was a 3 litre Isuzu Trooper 4 wheel drive & it was costing me £100 a week in fuel & i never even went any where just to the shops :( now its time to get something cheaper, having a scooter is better then catching the bus.

if you rip of all the unecessary crap on that thing you could easily use the drive system on a bicycle. electric bicycle laws in the uk are unfair. they won't even allow 30mph which any cylist can reach anyway by pedal.

i just got one from china for 200$...it has an alarm system dual suspension and its capred around 45-50 khm....in downhill it can do 80...but its kind of shity because it can do 10-20 on the uphill...or 5....but i am getting my runner vxr 180 back this saturday....

in canada there is a limit to the motor size if it is over 500 watt, it is considered a motorcycle. so licence and plates...

There is not mention on the volts, it only regards the watts, or HP, 500 is same as 1 half horsepower, my ebike is 48 volts

I dunno, I think the great thing about cheapo electric scooters is, they are extremely energy efficient to the point where you can charge them using around $200 worth of solar panels. So instead of all those nasty nukes, all you need to do is drop your speed and you can travel on sunlight!

Helo slim471, this is an Erato e-scooter. BLDC 2000W HUB motor with 38Ah greensaver power batteries.

Mine is a maxxstarusa 1500W HUB motor with 80AH (?) of batteries and runs a bit faster than this. I've topped at 35mph. (The math works out, 1500W/750 = 2HP, 2HP and 500 pounds = max speed of 35 mph) I'm in San Diego, CA.
