Robin Williams was excellent cause you can see that he was once a striving and talented artist who didnt make it but his desire to achieve success through younger kids was the "creepy" side of him. He's just one of those guys who knows their stuff, have good intentions but wrong methods of execution.

The guy played by Robin Williams, Magic, stole it. Arthur (Leon Thomas) quoted that a moment after playing this when Evan (otherwise known as August later in the movie) asked and tried to touch the guitar.
